$14 bottled waterJust wait until you see the new prices at the concession stand.
The general public lends money to the city of Arlington by buying bonds. Arlington then uses that bond money to help Jerry build the stadium. The city is responsible for paying back it's citizens, but the stadium is responsible for paying back the city. The stadium, outside of football, brings in about 100 million a year in taxable income.the owner doesn’t have to pay for the bonds - the tax payers do.
And Legends, the company that runs the concessions & the pro-shop at the stadium, is 1/3 owned by Jerry. He could easily go the Arthur Blank route and make everything affordable, but he doesn't give a damn about the fans.Just use the concessions profits since we are getting gouged. Sodas are 9 bucks now a freaking Pepsi is 9 bucks tax not included
They have them, too. I've been to concerts there, and I've seen them up personally. Jerry's ego won't allow it. Whatever "upgrade" the stadium is about to get won't be football-related at all, and it'll just be another ego stroke for Jerry. Not even interpretive dance can express how much I hate the Jones family, especially after all the stories I've heard personally from my best friend that's worked for the Cowboys for 7 years. How about budget for some blinds to cover the dumb windows?
The area where nationals park has gone quite upscale, a couple of blocks over from where the stadium now sits there used to be a KFC that was robbed so often and the clerks had guns pointed at so often they had 1 inch thick lexan around the counter and all food was provided via a lexan lazy suzy window. Many forget how much of a craphole the area around Nats Stadium used to be. Now it is high dollar apartment and condo buildings that many of the congress critter live in.Parking is cheaper everywhere else ive seen...again the Nationals can charge you $100 to park
It's a major sports event, like NASCAR, for the mouth-breathers that have made a certain orange individual with a bad comb-over their entire personality. lolHmmm. WrestleMania is a "major sports event?" (per SBJ quote)
Didn't know it was a "sports" event at all, let alone "major."
I haven't stood in line for the restroom in a decade. I cut in front of everybody waiting for a urinal, and go straight to the stalls. 90% of the time there's an empty one, and I've waited only a handful of times. Plus, I have "shy bladder", and I LOATHE standing next to strangers trying to pee, and I can hit my pen. lolYou have PLENTY of restroom access in Dallas and trust me, that matters..
my point is in Dallas you dont have to wait. The facilities are first rate compared to other places.I haven't stood in line for the restroom in a decade. The tax payers that do contribute to the paying of the bonds, are mostly business (land) owners near the stadium. Unfortunately those businesses raise their prices to extract extra money from the general public to pay the taxes on their increased land value. Thusly, the general public is inadvertently paying back a portion of the bonds.
Jerry wins, the city wins, the bond buyers win, everybody wins. And that's why these billion dollar stadiums keep popping up in NFL cities.
Have you ever been to San Diego? That place was BY FAR the worst stadium I've been to. I couldn't even sit in my actual seat because there was a guy already in it passed out drunk. When I went to St. Louis, somehow two other people had tickets to our seats as well. Luckily, we were able to move down 12 rows because St. Louis is a baseball town. I went Denver for the game in 2017, week 2, the game where they had to stop it for an hour and a half because it started storming so bad. Seattle is my favorite stadium that I've visited.my point is in Dallas you dont have to wait. The facilities are first rate compared to other places.
I would settle for tinting those windows.
