Cowboys plan on franchise tagging Osa

I never understood what was so hard.

Do you want $21 per? No? Ok see ya. Yes? Sign right here
I suspected the hard part was actually giving him 21….i won’t argue whether or not he’s worth that but I will say he’s not worth that to Dallas.

Also might be calling the agents bluff. I don’t think he wants his client on a tag.

He is the 7th ranked free agent. He is young and healthy and coming off a solid year.
Most the guys in here now will/want to complain and criticize every move

I mean I’m not happy either but we have so many holes we have to keep the top shelf players we do have

I absolutely don’t mind bringing osa back.

What I do mind is that a team who does not participate in free agency just spent $25 on an above average DT.

We could have signed 3-4 starters for that

Just smells and reminds you of Tyrone Crawfords deal

We must keep 13.5 sacks and 28 TFLs over 4 starting seasons by any means necessary.

3.5 sacks and 7 TFLs a season is top shelf.

Madness.

It's amazing. There are only 6 free agents ranked ahead of Osa and people want to complain about signing him at market value.

What is the stupidest course of action we could take? Leave it to JJ and SJ to allows find it, commit to it, and double down on it

Utter and complete idiocy. Again.

The problem is the tag is $25 million. We hope a deal will get done.

But the jones are notorious for dragging their feet on these things

Fish was way wrong it appears. This from a dude that's allegedly, down the hall from Jerry at the star.

If he’s smart he’ll grab the franchise tag and wait until next year and cash in
From my understanding, it's only to buy more time to complete the long-term deal but as you said, if it was me, I'm signing that sucker within minutes.

And only 6 free agents ranked higher than him and the Chiefs have already franchise tagged 1 of them and the Bengals are reported to be keeping another 1.

You can keep bringing up a worthless ranking, Rowdy. I focus on actual production.

Osa Odighizuwa has produced like a backup and anyone who would refer to him as a top shelf player doesn't have a clue of what they are talking about.

How can you not get a deal done ?
It's in everyone's best interest to sign him long term, Franchise tag is a last thing we need to tie up that tag money.
If this ends up being true, it's another nail in the Jerry coffin.

It most likely is a Jerry move, to be used as an excuse, on why can't sign FA's. We will have $25M tied up with the franchise tag.

Jerry could hire an average agent off the street and make him the GM, and he would negotiate better than this.
