Cowboys plan on franchise tagging Osa

If I was a player I would 100% want to be a Cowboy.

I don't care if we win a single game. Show me the money.
There you go....and I wouldn't rip you a new for taking as much as you could. I would, however, rip Jerry and agree with Bob on how much Jerry sucks. Salud!

The board general managers are wrong again. It just goes to show you that there is a team out there that will pay more than 20 million a season for Osa. Dak would have got more then $60 million on the open market, CeeDee would have gotten more the $34 million ect. These agents know what there doing.

By the way the Cowboys are doing the same crap they always do. The Joneses have not changed. They low balled Osa and leaked to the media a deal is almost done.

Lol! Some of these guys showing us the extent of their football knowledge. Lol
It's funny, they are just trying to get the deal done and letting them know they will tag him if he doesn't sign tells the agent that the player will not get to the open market. A good chance that they get a deal done because they are offering close to market value.

Osa isn’t “weak”, but he also is nowhere near a “franchise player”.
After reading more, I doubt he gets tagged. They are just ready to use it if they cannot reach a deal.’

Could be a plus letting him know we are keeping him home

"if a deal can't be reached"...which according to reports a few days ago they had or were close to.
let me know when the team reporters make up their minds.

It most likely is a Jerry move, to be used as an excuse, on why can't sign FA's. We will have $25M tied up with the franchise tag.

Jerry could hire an average agent off the street and make him the GM, and he would negotiate better than this.
Go get Mike Tannenbaum lol. He's available.

At least 1 in the draft. The draft is loaded with dtackles. We can draft 2.
They could, but they also need a RB or 2, and starting WR, LB, edge rusher, OL, etc.

I doubt we draft DT at #12. I guess any upgrade would have to be a 2nd/3rd rounder who beats out Mazi and officially make him a bust.

In a year with FA DTs and deep deep draft for better DTs
Unless Graham falls to you at 12 it seems unlikely you get a better DT year 1 from the draft. If they are looking at some round 2/3 guys to take at DT the tag on OSA isn’t the worst idea. Keep osa for a year and let the young guy develop and be a rotational player. I hate tagging him for other reasons, but a plug and play starting 3T is a bad bet from the draft, even a good class of DTs.
