If you’re looking just at AAV then yeah I agree. OSA will make $25m via the tag. He probably makes twice that this year on a long term deal. Gotta think like a player and look at the signing bonus and guaranteed money involved.

Well, typically, we still extend them. I'm not all that upset at a franchise tag though. I'd prefer they make up their minds and hammer out a deal or let him go. What gets me is when we franchise and simply drive up the price extend them anyway.
