News: Cowboys plan to sign RB Miles Sanders

I guess the hope is that he was running behind a bad line or in a bad scheme. His averages the last two years suggest that he's hit the same wall that decimated Zeke.

Can’t blame the system or line when the backup comes in and runs for 1200 yards on 4.8 yards per carry.

I'm ok with Williams... he is a power type of back, and with Sanders...who is a good change of pace and good receiving back, but we need a good young pup in the mix.

sure. you just seem to chastize folks a bunch for being justifiably upset. all good though
Many assume that I'm tired of all the negativity, complaining, whining etc....but, they have it all wrong, I love it, it makes my day, I love to see some be so miserable and take this game so seriously. Hard to see the smile, laughing and smirk on my face behind a keypad. That's why I had put an LOL on my post, even the poster I replied too played along. I'll try a bigger font, next time. Lol

Man these deals reek of the “analytics” team going full Rasputin with Jerry.

This better not mean no RB in the draft.

Additionally how does one build a team with all these 1 year deals?

Hey! Stop being so mean, no need to chastize fans, because they are visibly upset.....then again, thed be upset if we traded for saquon.....chastize away!!
Mean is when I asked a friend of mine ... just how many times did your parents drop you on your head ... but he deserved it at the I asked him that.
 So it was not so mean, it was a legitimate question. Because at times he is an idiot (most times). He would fit in well with the "dislikers" here.

But yeah, I feel the need to question certain statements.

I think it means they are not ALL IN on a RB in the 1st round, like many fans want.

Could be all of these 1 years deals mean they may do a slight trade down. Pick up a few extra picks. Then have a core of good (hopefully good) players, that some turn into great players for the next 3 to 4 years.

Yes a far fetched thought that may happen, as we never know.

Just a thought.

First round I get. Rounds 2-4 should be a RB.

First thought was to trash the move, if they make it, but a second thought I view it as cover to look as if they don't need to draft a RB early. I'm fine with a 3rd round RB pick, still add another in the 5th, Javonte n Miles stop nothing.
Exactly.

Just another veteran to compete with Javonte Williams for the #2 role behind a draft pick. Neither player is seen as, or being paid as, a long term backfield solution.

Some fans look too deeply into signings like this.

I think at the very least you can enter the draft like this and not be forced to take a RB high.

If this is who we enter the season with, it's still better than last year.
