I wasn't trying to be uncivil, 2080. My post wasn't directed at you, per se, and I should have directly stated that. It was meant more towards others here, I just chose your post as a leap-board. I apologize if you felt me coming at you too strong.

I get what you were saying, I was more addressing the growing amount of detractors than the word you used, meme or otherwise. Everyone has a right to post as they wish.

The "fishing" line was tongue in cheek :)

Oh no no don't get me wrong I know u weren't trying to be uncivil at all. others have in conversations around here at the zone. it's the nature of the board. Makes it interesting I guess. sorry didn't mean to confuse u. I should have been more clear. u weren't coming on too strong at all. I understand where u come from from ur comments u have always treated my comments with respect in the past. it's kind of tough to illustrate tone on these boards so things can get crossed.

We have the same fundamental belief with respect to Romo n Dak.

Is Joe Thomas going to play? 2 straight DNPs.
I just checked one of their beat writer's twitter and I haven't seen a thing about him. Guess he's on the veteran-player-no-need-to-practice schedule.

Watching the games, you can see he isn't as accurate as Romo. Sure they catch the balls, but the placement isn't the greatest.

Think about Lucky's reception a couple games ago. Behind him. Beasley in the last game, behind. Sure they both caught them, and the stats say 2/2 100% completion, but you could see they were behind and the receivers had to make adjustments to catch them. Those are just two examples. Heck, even the TD to Witten was a bit to Wittens left as opposed to right in the numbers. Completion, but not the same accuracy.

Romo is certainly a better passer. However, Dak is a better runner and poses problems to the defense. People are forgetting Romo can scramble like Dak. He can run read option and probably can't run bootlegs. These are what Dak can do that Romo can't.

I was hoping Ryan Davis could add some pass rushing pressure to a Dallas defense that could really use it.

Needless to say, hamstring issues can routinely be slow healing affairs. Let's hope he gets better in a hurry.

Bottom line is, we have two quarterbacks that can win. I say play Dak unless/until the wheels come off; knowing Romo is in the bullpen.

Given Romo's history, Dallas needs to see as much of Prescott as possible to determine if he is, indeed, the future. Right now it looks like Dak is the answer; but there's still a long ways to go this year.

The chemistry of this team tells me there will be no problems internally no matter who starts.
The opposite is also true. We have to see what Romo has left in the tank. We have to know exactly what he has left because at his best he can carry a team in the playoffs. We also have to make the decision for next year. He has to play at some point.

Tass, agreed, my man! Happy to see Romo taking the bull by the horns and not packing it in (not that he ever would, he's always been a warrior and consummate pro).

If, heaven forbid, something happened to young Dak, we will be very fortunate to have a healthy, in shape, and ready Romo to step in.

Speaking of "good shape" -- that sig pic... :D

Well said my fellow Nutmegger.

I can mostly agree with that, it's just that my response was to a specific trait, accuracy.

I agree with this. So the question becomes, which is better for this offense, Romo's accurate, attacking downfield passing or the added dimension of Dak's running? I still pick Romo. Dak was simply not very good through three quarters last week I absolutely respect his composure and ability to rise to the occasion in crunch time but I have this sneaking suspicion that the game would not have been close if Romo had been in there. He would have been slicing up that defense for four quarters. I mean, these idiots in the media were saying the same thing about Tim Tebow, when he first started for the Broncos - you can't pull him, the team's winning! Whatever.

Did they ever stop and think this offense might be even better with Romo? I mean, think about what this guy has done. And now you give him Zeke in the backfield? Romo would be unstoppable.
