Too late now but keep an eye on him next offseason. Good Lawrence replacement

But they put a claim in for him. If he definitively was not better, would they actually try to acquire him?

As I said before..Cowboy shave a roster with 90ish people right now so maybe I misspoke. He's not better than any of the other veterans they have from a production standpoint...unless you want another player that can't crack 5 sacks in a season...

How? What has he done to show he is better than Lawrence?

He's healthier and has more sacks throughout his career, not even counting the three in Super Bowl 50. Although with Lawrence, there's still a chance that injuries have robbed him of being able to reach his potential. I'm not counting on it, but there's still the off chance he could break out this year.

A free look at Ealy on top of that would have been nice, but I doubt he's going to offer you anything that Crawford and Lawrence can't. Might as well see how the young guys develop this year.

I don't disagree with anything you posted. He is similar to what we have in Moore, Law and Mayowa...not necessarily better.

I would've liked to have a look. Maybe trading a conditional pick contingent on him being on the roster for 4 weeks. Once Irving and Moore are back from their suspensions, I'm not sure if what may be a one year rental is worth a spot on the field.

Totally agree. He's the kind of guy we only keep for a year or two anyway. A nice-to-have, sure, but not a need-to-have.

Ok so who do you cut when Moore and Irving come back? Let me guess your going to go with 9 DEs??? Unreal
That's a tough one......seeing as though we have so many great de's on the roster.

Moore has 10 sacks in 5 years. 2 per year average. You could start there.

So which not so great ones are you cutting for ealy? Can't even answer the question but you want to just throw our draft picks out the window

Both crawford and Lawrence are toast after this year.

I said nothing of draft picks. Other than Irvin, and Taco, i could care less about any other de on the roster. Probably keep benson around just to see what happens. Lawrence probably want to keep around for this year.

And since de is one of our weaker positions, I would certainly go long there. And considering suspensions and injury histories it would probably be smart.

Who the heck is Benson?
Probably keep Lawrence?

And you said nothing of draft picks but you where the one with the quick comment on me saying not to trade the 7th for a JAG but yet you still won't answer the question on who you keep. You gave me the 3 guys who are locks and a someone who isn't even on the team.
