Cowboys' QB coach on Colin Kaepernick: 'He deserves a chance'

He's better than anything we have behind Dak right now. If we had a qb close to Kaepernick's ability in 2015 we make the playoffs. I for one don't want to relive that debacle. If he can be signed at a decent price I'd be for it.

I don't understand the double standards and hypocrisy of some people in this thread. You claim he has every right to kneel for what he believes in and that's freedom of speech yet you don't think he should be "black balled" by owners when that is their version of freedom of speech.

No matter whether you agree with him or not, he made his bed and now he has to lay in it, plain and simple. I have zero sympathy for him. You want to get noticed by offending a large portion of the country to make a point? Congrats, you succeeded in getting noticed and now you're dealing with the consequences.

I'm not the biggest Kaepernick fan around, but it's a bit amusing how so many are flipping out over his protesting, when in fact it's more in line with America's 'original values' than anything. America was built on dissidence against the government, or did we forget that America used to be British colonies? Or the fact that we have the right to bear arms in order to over throw tyrannical government?

Do we bring him in? I think those resources could be spent better elsewhere.

He already said he's done protesting.

But let's not act like anyone would lose sleep over this. I'm sure you slept fine when Hardy was on the team.
Little different...Hardy was just A lost Charles Hailey type. Kap is a new generation 60's hippy. Totally different. Although I don't disagree with his effort it was a extremely bad place protest.

Could have accomplished the same thing if he would have thought it all the way though. I don't mind the cause, but young minds don't cover the backlash of such a sacred meaning.
