Well, i'll throw this in the pot. If our Cowboys are America's team and Kap Kneels during the National Anthem, someone tell me how in the heck we are suppose to smile and nod when he does that in Jerry's World?

He already said he's done protesting.

But let's not act like anyone would lose sleep over this. I'm sure you slept fine when Hardy was on the team.

Cut the anthem from sports anyway - it's not necessary.

I didn't rec this post but I can see both sides of the coin. I stand at attention for the Anthem because that is what the regs say Retirees should do. But I have plenty of friends that call is "forced patriotism" and I can see that side of the coin as well.

Kaiser's Law of Physics: Every thread is a Hardy thread!

And you are wrong, Hardy was signed after false accusations. When it turned into a complete feces opera they didn't resign him. The contract with Dallas came before the real drama, not after.

You should ask yourself why you feel the need to defend him.

I agree he should get a chance. He's just not that good a QB. That being said. As a veteran I support what he did. And as an LEO I have no issue with it because my reality isn't the same as everyone else's reality.

Neil Kaepernick can go play in the CFL where they don't play the American Anthem and his views are more widely supported

I don't defend Hardy, I defend the truth. You should ask yourself why feel the need to comment on things you know nothing about.

I always forget the majority of the demographic that are Cowboys fans. Attitudes like this are what make me hesitant to move to Texas. The most blindly patriotic state in the country. Ironic that my favorite team is based here smh

I've said all along... I don't think he's a very good QB, forget politics.

Plus, I don't want the drama.

Not to mention that he wants good money (if the Seattle trip is any indicator).

I agree with the team not bringing him in.
Couldn't DISAGREE with you more! He has already said that he will stop the kneeling during the national anthem, and he is open to playing 2nd fiddle. The only circus that could come of this signing would be the media - and it would be short-lived because Colin is not going to feed the monster.

We have the opportunity to sign a YOUNG, starting-caliber QB whose skillset fits our offensive scheme (and vice versa) and we could lock him up for the next 2 years. Honestly, I think that Colin would get along great with Dak and the rest of the team. I could go on and on about the BENEFITS of signing Colin, but I'll just end with this: if we couid sign Pacman Jones, Tank, Greg Hardy, and Terrell Owens, surely we could sign Kaepernick. Heck, if Mike Vick could be given an OPPORTUNITY to revive his career in the NFL, surely Kaepernick should be given the same opportunity by none other than America's team. Injury or financial concerns aside, if Jerry has a problem signing Kaepernick, then in reality he has a much bigger problem: rank hypocrisy. But then again, that's not necessarily something new to Jerry - and I appreciate him as an Owner.

Then you don't know Kaepernick. Can you imagine America's team...signing this Anti-American scumbag? It would be the worst PR move Jerry could ever make. Wanna alienate the fans???? Sign this guy...and see what happens.
