Cowboys QB FA History Past 20yrs - Dalton's Present

The horrid Cincinnati team excuse for Dalton is a myth.

I challenge another poster if they wanted to compare roster between Cowboys vs Bengals. I think now I'll just make a thread

Rifle doesn't Hunt anymore...

You can believe that the 2-11 Bengals had great personnel held back by Dalton. I don't.

Since 2000 Troy Aikman:

Randall Cunningham
Anthony Wright
Ryan Leaf
Chad Hutchinson
Vinny Testarvede
Drew Henson
Drew Bledsoe
Brad Johnson
Jon Kitna
Kyle Orton
Brandon Weeden
Matt Cassell
Kellen Moore
Andy Dalton (Zero Starts)

The Dallas Cowboys front office DO NOT KNOW how to acquire FA QB whom eventually perform at a high level consistently...Is Andy Dalton to be the guy that bucks this trend??

We might not agree on Dak but smart money should be Dak DiNucci 2020!!

Dak Haters started impeachment proceedings day one. This isn't foreign to Cowboy History. We always have a corner that wants the backup. But I hope MM value is found in DiNucci and Clayton ..if Dak leaves..
more than half of this list were clearly signed as stop gap back ups
also what franchises DO have a good track record with free agent qb's? very few

There you go using childish conversation tactics....I never said 2-11 Bengals had great personnel smh:huh:

I clearly stated that Dalton's talent in Cincinnati was no different than Cowboys. In fact Cowboy fans have the habit of overrating our own roster.

Dalton has had just a good a chance as any Franchise QB.....The greats overcome all factors....Dalton didn't. Somehow believing he'll resurrect his career in Dallas is wishful thinking at 32 yrs and zero play making ability...5-19 in Prime Time: 1 TD 6 Ints in Playoffs: 118 Career Ints and 6 Career Pick 6s: 18 - 21 - 1 last 2 seasons....bad resume

That's the line you want to go with? Okey dokey.

4 Pro Bowlers and an All Pro on the Cowboys offense for 2019.

Nada for the Bengals.

Thanks for playing.

Yep....so Dalton couldn't "carry" "his" franchise.

That's right you keep on fearing the Red hair man cause deep down you know big Mike brought him here to challenge and replace Dak at some point during the season.
Your fears are valid as the last 3 years Dak has regressed big time.
Time will shatter your Dak dreams once again but then again you're used to the Dak- pain by now!!

Right. “Carrying” an offense has become a major requirement for Cowboys fans in how they rate QBs. And now all of a sudden it doesn’t apply to Andy Dalton. I wonder why?

Dalton's teams 18 - 21 - 1 last 2 seasons

Team doesn't play for Dalton.....
Thank Cowboys for playing with Dak:lmao2:

Bengals were 8-24 the last two seasons.

The bigger and louder the emoji, the more clueless any associated argument.

It's like their brain knows how idiotic they are being, so it tries to distract itself with as much emoting as possible.

The Cowboys have tried to fill the quarterback position since Aikman with free agents and low round picks, what they need to do is invest in a young quarterback out of the draft even if they have to pay the price to move up with draft picks. That's mostly how it's done.

and what, possibly get a Goff or a Wentz?

There are hardly ever good QB’s available in free agency. When they are they are either 1. Very expensive, so at that point might as well just pay Dak, the QB you know. Or 2. They have major question marks like serious injury. This applies to Peyton Manning and Drew Brees. Both had serious injuries and teams didn’t know if they would be able to play at a high level again.

Drafting a QB and drafting one high like top 10 high is really the only way.

The success rates on QB’s taken outside the top 10 is very very low and you could be riding the QB carousel for years if you blow the pick.

So you don't want to play any more, like the Bengals TEAM didn't want Dalton :lmao2::lmao2:
Thanks for playing Dalton.. Hi Joe Burrow

umm this happens to all teams trying to find the NEXT qb and need bridges..BTW Kitna and Orton were solid Bledsoe was pretty good etc etc

not sure what the dang points i see this all around the league when in transition from a franchise qb and trying to find the next one ALL OVRER THE LEAGUE..newsflash there arent that many good qbs to fill 32 starting spots let alone backup positions ..

there are maybe 16 good starters then the merry go round of other qbs trying to at least be average to hold down the position until something better comes along..

Of course you missed the point...

Clearly I stated that Dallas Cowboys have not had any FA QB whom performed at a consistent high level....

Of course other teams pick up FA QB difference is some other teams have found success. The Cowboys haven't....so having glorious dreams about Dalton somehow winning more than 5 games is delusional

Dalton is 8 - 21 - 1 and benched for poor play in past 2 seasons.

Get the dang point now.....

no you missed the point some as in afew but THE majority DO NOT FIND GREAT CONSISTENT TALENT AT QB..

we are in the Norm, not the exception, the exception is not the rule..get it?? jeez

on that standard getting a Franchise QB UDFA in ROIMO followed by a 4tgh rounder that tunred out to be pretty good says they did pretty well for themselves..

More childish theatrics :lmao2::lmao2:

How does "performed at consistent high level" my words turn into "NOT FIND GREAT CONSISTENT TALENT AT QB" your words?

This is basic conversation 1 on 1. You can't make up MY comments

What you fail to realize is that I left off the list every QB in the past 20 years that was acquired by Cowboys through draft process.

So, Romo does not make the list and shocker, Romo performed at a very high consistent level over several years.

Do you see the point now?

Dalton is not some anamoly that will rise up and play beyond his track record 8 - 21 - 1 and benched over past 2 seasons. He's a FA QB signed by the Cowboys....yep he's exactly like the past FA QBs...see list above

How many teams have had more success in the QB FA market than the Cowboys? I'm still confused by the argument here.

Who cares what other teams have done?

Does the OP title confuse you?

The Cowboys are horrendous at acquiring FA QB outside the draft process. Fact!!!

Dalton fits the bill. If Dalton somehow plays above his head then I'll eat crow.

im saying the league has no consistent play after top 16 starters how knowing this fact does the other 16 find average starters and then when needed to fil a hole the ones left most y all garbage.teams do NOT find consistent FA Talent on average any better then the DC at QB because they are few and far between....

childish antics are your overuse of emoticons to make point..
