It looks like the team is determined to give McClain the starting MLB spot. Carter looked the best of the three starters to me in the preseason game. Wilber looked pretty shaky tbh. It was like he didn't know what he was looking at and it was giving him fits. His strength last year was taking on blocks at the point of attack in the run game and there he just wilted when a block came at him.

Maybe Durant can play some sam or just rotate them. He would make sense as a super sub.

If you believe what is being written, Durant is out playing everyone. I do not think "super sub" is the direction to go if true.

If Durant is your best LB at this stage, give him a job now.

What don't you get?

The fact that it's obvious that Mo hasn't live up to his draft status and today the report said that he was in good position on the play but chose to tackle the wr, he doesn't trust his coverage abilities. All that yapping he's been doing is just false bravado if you're not getting it done on the field.

I don't believe that for one minute. Mo had a good rookie season and was hurt last year. That sounds like an overly pessimistic attitude to me.

Attitude is everything.

Yea, this is not a defense that can afford pet cats, if someone is making play, plug him in until someone shows better.

Just a difference of opinion, Mo has not been worth giving up a second rounder for, no matter if it's because of injury or something else.

I'll say this, if he were a free agent right now the Cowboys would do him like Jenkins and Felix Jones. This is a big year for him personally.

I disagree and I think you're dead wrong.

Dude! You should have given them my account number, that way we both save $100.00 off of our bill!

lol
Maybe a sticky thread will be added to the Market Zone for noting Cowboyszone members with Directv subscriptions some day. I know I would enjoy offering my account number to any CZ member getting new Directv service, but the referral must be done during the new Directv signup process.

Any CZ member considering this deal should check it out at Directv and search for Refer A Friend (link self-edited to comply with site rule #11 - You will not advertise or promote other sites, services or products).

It's pretty gosh darn easy. :) Plus any CZ member may already know someone personally who has Directv service. They could ask that subscriber as well. Every so often someone who knows me gets or switches over to Directv. They don't ask me for my account number first. I always ask that person why they skipped getting painfree savings off their bill.

People seem to want to cut Mo just because he's not a superstar. It's like there's absolutely zero middle ground. If he's not playing like the best CB in the league, then he's absolute trash and we should cut ties. BS. Yeah, it kinda sucks that we gave up a 2nd to move up and get him, but that's history. Just because Mo wasn't worth the picks, we should just cut him apparently. Why not be grateful that he can at least be a serviceable starter? If he flat out could not play at all in this league (see Bobby Carp), I'd understand. Folks are holding his draft status against him, which is something that he obviously had zero control over. And it's not like he's earning millions upon millions of dollars these past few years. It's still his rookie contract. So it makes zero sense that people want to cut ties after only 2 seasons.

You think they'd shell out money for Claiborne if he were a FA this year? Has he been better than Jenkins was? I'm not so sure he has been.

We all want our players to succeed but as of right now he's been a bust imo. That doesn't mean that he can't rebound but he just hasn't shown me 6th overall while giving up your second rounder ability. Now if it were Patrick Peterson then that would be something else.

Question: Why don't we just practice in our stadium?

Too many other money-making opportunities to be had there in the offseason I'm guessing (concerts, other sporting events, etc).

That makes sense, I suppose. Seems it would be beneficial, though, since the actual games are played there.

It'd obviously depend on the deal on the table, but we wouldn't extend ourselves for him.
I think all parties are glad we'll have another year for him to continue to develop. This year will tell us a lot about a possible extension down the road. I do think people are prematurely wanting to call him a bust when the reality is, he's been an uneven player. He was hurt when we drafted him, and he's missed time both in camp and the regular season both years. And he's needed to get stronger to play his particular game at this particular level. He wasn't the walk-in force we all wanted and expected. There's no denying that. But that doesn't mean he's not on track to develop into a good player.

So Romo is off on a few plays in one day of training camp and people are concerned and even comparing him to Brad Johnson? Seriously, crap like this is why I stopped posting here for a while.

You might as well stop. Because these people will never change, no matter how much you or others complain.

It's great to sit behind a computer, and act like a hysterical teenage girl. In person, I doubt they would cry this much, in fear of looking flamboyant and colorful.

Yes they would in a heartbeat. Maybe not Patrick Peterson money but yes they would sign him. He was hurt last year, you guys are funny.
