This is good. I was afraid the price tag would be higher, too. Losing two of the top four CBS would have made me nervous. Now, I can live with a decent vet backfill and/or a top 100 pick added to this group and feel ok about our depth.

He got hurt a couple of times, I don’t feel like he got ‘bumped down’ due to his production but we’ll see.

Not mad about this one at all. Good bargain signing I bet, and he’s a starting caliber corner. Give you great depth and has starting experience. Doesn’t prevent you from drafting a corner in rounds 1 or 2.

A three year, $15.5 million deal for a corner with Brown's experience is a very good contract.

I'm actually happy with the offseason so far. We knew Dak's tag and Cooper's contract were going to cost a lot, but the Cowboys haven't overpaid for anybody else.

I get it but those camp bodies you sign later, not on the first day of camp. I think they have a reclamation project of some sort in Canady and expect him to make the 53. People argued before that they signed Carroll to be a camp body and in reality they wanted him to start, granted that was Marinelli who is gone.

Gut says they think they are set at CB now and can grab one in the draft and be done with it.

I don't think Canady is a starter. Caroll only started because of injuries.

You aren't. He'll make a play once in awhile which apparently people notice, but 90% of the time he is beat in coverage which apparently people don't notice.

Yep, plus Awuzie and Lewis are free agents next year so having one guy for stability makes sense.

Right but I'm assuming they didn't get him dirt cheap otherwise why would he sign now? So if you add a significant corner to this mix Canady becomes your 5th CB. That guy should be making league minimum.

Maybe they’re moving Awuzie to safety?
