RELEASED Cowboys Release DE Damontre Moore

Still, worst mishandling in franchise history? Probably not top 10
I think they are squandering a year of a potentially amazing offense (Dak, Zeke, Dez, and the O-line). It was a gross misjudgment. Claiborne, Church, and Carr are all playing well and the guys we signed to replace them are unemployed. Completely mishandled.

He must have not performed well enough against the run or he did something the team didn’t like off the field.

That was my first impression as well -- he showed far too much promise as a pass rusher to put him to waste like that. At any rate, it'll be interesting to see if another team snaps him up. I'd also agree with those who'd have preferred cutting Kellen Moore instead of Damontre.

No, we drafted guys to replace them and needed bottom-of-the-barrel FA to fill in the gaps. Turns out our rookies are better than the bottom-of-the-barrel FA so we cut them and didn't cost us much. The Galloway and Roy Williams trades by themselves were way worse to this franchise.

well there offseason plan wasn't much they should of pretty much just kept one or two the guys they had and called it a day

I'll take Gross Overreactions for $600, Alex

It's a pretty shoddy offseason. I mean if you want to argue it's not the worst offseason of all time, have at it, but that seems just arguing for the sake of arguing at that point.

This was not exactly the best offseason for a team that was coming off a 13-3 #1 NFC seed season.

This would be great if the team were sitting at 4-2 or 5-1. But we aren't.

Their bottom of the barrel FA signings are a key reason this team is now 3-3 and likely seeing the WC as their best chance at the postseason at this point.

For one, seven weeks into the season isn't enough to evaluate an entire off-season's effectiveness. But instant gratification being what it is, I guess some folks can't control themselves. Let's see what the draft picks become before we rush to judgment.

Nope, apologies and excuses only. 22 years and counting.

So you would have had them re-sign the guys that were just ok last year and called it good?
