Thanks for everything #98. 11yrs wearing the star. He should get the same respect you all give Dat Nguyen.

Dat Nguyen never griped about his contract and butted heads with management consistently.

No, he shouldn't.

You act like he did that his whole career. He didn't, and so what if he did he brought it on Sunday's that's all you can ask

I wish Ellis the best and would have liked to have seen him end his career in Dallas. I think more than just a youth movement Dallas is trying to part ways to the malcontents within the club. I understood where Ellis was coming from but for this franchise we need players willing to tow the line instead of fretting about their particular role with the team

Agreed, and I think there's even a bit more to it than Jerry wanting to move out the malcontents, locker room distractions etc.

I get the feeling he wants to move players who aren't acting like it's an honor and privilege to be a member of the Dallas Cowboys.

Well, he did rehab his butt off after two devastating injuries--injuries that might have finished off lesser players. Kinda surprised by the cavalier reaction to his dismissal. True, he was an undeniable PITA in recent years, and Jerry was wrong to reward his serial whining, but there's no evidence that he was pulling that crap lately.

After Dallas had parted with TO, Tank, Pacman and Williams. Wade indicated more changes would be made and when he said that the 1st person I thought of was Ellis.

I will say I like Ellis but given the recently history of this franchise players need to worry about doing the job when called on instead of their own particular role. Jerry pays them to go out and play so play let the coach’s coach and when called on the players need to do the job.

Can't wait to see what Spencer does. It also helps Victor Butler and Brandon Williams get their feet wet by getting some actual NFL game experience. I expect them to be contributors on this team.

I agree and especially hope Spencer steps up this season. Unlike some I can't say I have been thrilled with his play thus far but hopefully he is ready to produce like the 1st rd pick many expected

I wouldn't have done this till I saw more out of the rookies. So what happens if Ware or Spencer go down?

Then someone else has to step up just like at any other position. If Ware went down, Ellis would not have made any difference. Just let one of the rookies play and get some experience.

I had it with Ellis after he couldn't practice or play because of a injury but as soon as Jerry made a trip to his house and guaranteed his insurance policy, all of a sudden Ellis was healthy enough to play----I say good Riddance!!
