It would be great if they pull this off and get Milton back.
 
60 minutes and we'll know. I had originally thought Cincy, but they added to their QB room. Someone else suggested Jets or Dolphins which are good candidates. Another team might be the Falcons?

Then it will come down to Milton coming back or getting a better deal somewhere else.
 
The Cowboys do realize that any team can grab Milton from the PS during the season, right?

I'm not sure how to take this sarcasm facetious Anybody who thought we can get a first round pick for him knows we probably couldn't even got a 5th round because for one the Cowboys would have at least **** **** attempted to trade him to tell me they didn't and they just caught him and they didn't even try as a bunch of nonsense They've done low level trades just yesterday or the day before with Nate Thomas they could have done it with Milton apparently nobody offered it.

Do you need any more proof than the fact that he was released yesterday he's gone through waivers we are 57 minutes from the deadline I mean if he was gonna be snatched up if a team out there was gonna give a draft pick for him and decided well we'll wait for him to be cut well then he would have got snatched up within an hour,

I wish they could have found a way to protect him and keep him I actually agree with their decision but at the same time it was risky 'cause if you don't get him back and he turns into something even say Tyrod Taylor that's who he reminds me of but maybe that's gonna suck for Cowboy fans to see that we let even a really good backup or a average starter that you know not really a starter but like jacobi brissette and these guys that travel around being back up Sir whole careers and maybe we missed out on that a bridge guy average starter that you know not really a starter but like Jacobi Brissette and these guys that travel around being back up Sir whole careers and maybe we missed out on that

a bridge guy... It is what it is I'm not losing sleep over it..

Somebody on this forum said we should (unless I was in a fever dream). I can’t remember who and I’m not sure of the exact drugs they were on, but I read it.

And other teams realized that we can do the same thing I don't I don't see your point I mean if they want them bad enough he wouldn't clear waivers If he didn't want to be here he won't sign to the practice squad you don't get forced to come to the practice squad therefore if his agent or himself is putting himself out there these 24 hours that's what it's for You're engaging the other leagues interest and you maybe know where the players head is at whether he wants to be here or not but if they sign him off the practice squad they gotta keep him at least what 4 weeks on the active roster so yeah we could do that too there's probably a quarterback somewhere else that might be better than Milton on the practice squad..


Yes you're playing games with players putting them down there but if flour annoy and Cooper Rush could get down there we got them all through it that I'm not that worried about Milton but if we lose him I'm not losing sleep over it. The Cowboys have had to make these tough decisions with better players than Milton and it usually works out but sometimes it doesn't it is what it is..

I think that they didn't want to trade Milton, but did want to know what his value was.

Now according to the fan base they need to come here to get their information about league rules and the process happening around the league and whether they should try to get a trade before they cut a player and which players they should keep or not they need to come here 'cause everybody here knows better... :muttley: :popcorn: :facepalm:

Not really I think they would have took a really good draft pick I wouldn't have took a 5th but if somebody offered me a 3rd I'd pack his bags give him a gift card to the Cheesecake Factory and let's move really fast on that....

I like the guy but we're overrating him I like him I just don't I think his ceiling is like a Tyrod Taylor a bridge guy above average backup...

Milton doesn't get to control the trades and neither do the Cowboys the Cowboys had to at least before they cut in they knew it was a risk Why not see what he's worth by putting trade feelers out and then denying the lower low ball offers but at least that would have given them a better idea than risking throwing them back in the pool and seeing if he can swim..

You might be right. They probably would have taken the 3rd.

They can protect up to four players each week under the newer practice squad rules.
