Milton's position was likely a spot on the bench for all 17 games. I could do that.
Yeah, he was going to be the emergency starting quarterback. I just would have preferred that we held on to him because you can't teach the arm strength and mobility he has. Now, neither of those are a guarantee that he ever amounts to anything. I just believe in trying to develop a quarterback before you have to spend a first-round pick on one.

There are 4 teams that kept 4 quarterbacks that should probably be interested.

Milton asked for a release and Shotty obliged him. Not sure why they didn't get a late pick, but maybe they decided to do him a favor. I don't like that.
Where did u hear or see that Milton asked for his release and why?

Heard his attitude was a challenge. That said, will he be on the Practice Squad for a week or two then activated?
His sideline demeanor was odd and his declarations and flamboyance is alarming , especially that he did not back it up on the field . His accuracy was weak and lacked game and scheme awareness . Howell looked more composed and calm . Sometimes silence and patience is golden . Cowboys don’t want another Micah in the locker room talking smack

His inconsistency got him in the end. If he had put together a good performance against New Orleans he’d have won the job. But he didn’t. Talented player but Howell is more reliable.
Yeah, I’m not buying what you’re selling!

Wow!!! This absolutely shocked me. I really thought he was improving.

I like Sam Howell as a backup, but to just move on from Milton is a really weird move to me. Is there a deeper story here by chance? Did he butt heads with the coaches or something? It just seems like a very odd decision to make.

I can think of a bunch of other players that would have made more sense to move on from.

That is my point. The coaching staff knows. They seen what we seen in preseason and still picked Howell.

The fact we could not even get a 7th round pick for him is telling.
Why would I care about how he practices? Are we insinuating practice is any different than preseason? If we just judged practices Dak would be backing up Kellen Moore right now.
