Cowboys release TO *Merged*

Holy ****! I did not expect this.

Stephen A. Smith is hating on us major lol. Offense was putrid, people keep their jobswho are incompetent (Garrett), and TO who shows up on sunday loses his. TO is devastated.

There's no doubt this move puts a lot of pressure on Garrett. There's little doubt he was heading up this charge to cut T.O. -- at least based on all the articles I've seen.

If this move backfires, he's done here. If it works, he'll be heralded.

Where did this myth that TO "showed up on sundays" last year begin? Outside of one game, he rarely showed up last season. It's not like he was out there making things happen and everyone else was screwing up.

Anyone notice how now ESPN is now asking things like "Is this the right move? How will they replace him? Does he feel betrayed by Jerry?"

They do nothing but bash us for having him on the team, then when we cut him, they ask if we're making a mistake.

BTW, Screamin' A Smith is the biggest tool in America. I think he's about to stroke out over this news. :lmao:
Half the people in this thread that are happy about it, will think differently by week 6.

Pretty funny stuff.

It just makes it hurt so much more that Houshmandzadeh's already signed. Wish the decision had been made in time to get him.

This smells of a move to appease Garrett, who Jerry wants as his coach in waiting. This has nothing to do with talent.

Too bad it was Garrett who sucked last year. I have little to no confidence in him after his abysmal play calling. And after this move, I also have little trust in his character as well.

Can't say I would have wanted him. Strikes me as a classic No. 2 receiver.

Well Jerry completely snaked him, this was handled without any class by management at all.
This is funny. Jerry doesn't owe anything to T.O. This guy is not Emmitt, Michael, or Troy. I guess T.O. snaked Jerry when he would go on TV and air out the team on a weekly basis.

Well, that was much better than Roy Williams' 2008 numbers in his best games, so what does that say about 2009?

I doubt we could have afforded him anyway. I don't think he's the kind of WR we'd want opposite Roy anyhow.

How would we have the cap room to sign Housh when we just took a 10mil cap hit?

I'm sure he is. The guy wanted to play for this team for the rest of his career.

Yet he couldn't stop himself from stabbing his 3rd QB in the back publicly. Ooops.
