It's not necessarily T.O. that distracts the Cowboys. It's what he brings to a team.

We all know he didn't get cut because of his production. It was because of the distraction. T.O. never called out Romo. He didn't do any of the things he did in other cities. T.O. was cut because of the constant media strain and pressure/distractions from the media.

I'm assuming Jerry finally listened to certain players/coaches and realized that all the stuff that went on this past year distracted the team in a negative manner. He made the change that he felt was necessary.

Yes, I asked someone who had access to inside information. And "following him everywhere" was simply a hyperbole, used to imply drama caused by the media. It wasn't literal, because obviously the media doesn't follow anyone everywhere.

We need SPEED - even if it's not from the #1 or #2 WR. If you can't stretch the defense and toss the deep ball - every defense will play up, blanket the slow receivers and stop the run. That means we must find a FA with speed or draft a guy with huge potential. Otherwise, I'm afraid we'll see an entire season of dink and dump short passes.

Bad move. Haven't seen anything from Garrett that indicates he can scheme an offense; without D's double teaming and shifting players towards TO, don't see how the receivers get open.

Next season, teams will put extra men in the box to stop the run, and double team Witten.

I guess we will see just how good Garrett is.

Complete and total speculation. Again, Romo appears weekly in the tabloids with Jessica and he is clearly being handed the reigns to this team.

There had to be a divisive force going on in the locker room, despite everyone protests to the opposite, or TO is being held to a standard that Romo is not.

That is possible, granted, but given TO's history it is far more likely the Werder's of the world found an acorn and were right that there were seriously problems with TO and other players.

If 4 out of 11 defensive players are covering 2 guys and we can't move the ball with the RBs we have than we suck anyway, and weren't winning anything even with TO.

So then it makes sense to make it even HARDER to move the ball?

How does cutting TO make the offensive line get younger and learn how to block for the run or the pass?

This offense is in BIG trouble next year unless some wheeling and dealing is done.

And you're correct. TO is being held to a standard Romo is not. It's just Romo hasn't carried the baggage TO has for his entire career.
