Strawman. No one said all at all. I merely asked a question.

You asked if there were real internal problems, or if the Cowboys cut him because the media follows him everywhere.

I chose to discount the latter because its the stupidest damn thing I have ever heard, and in fact it is something that would endear TO to Jerry.

Not a strawman, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that your are not a moron.

BS. Even if Roy does not come up a big #1 as long as he can get close to his numbers of 2006 he still is very valuable to this team. We then draft a kid next year. At most it could set us back 2 years realistically, maybe 3.

Double cover Roy Williams and Jason Witten. Everybody else run blitzes. How the hell do we move the ball on offense next year let alone score enough points to win?

The problems with the offense in 2008 were a terrible offensive line (which isn't changing in 2009 except getting older) and Jason Garrett who couldn't figure out a way to move the ball much late in the year, and now he is suddenly going to figure it out with one less receiver?

Unless the team can pick up Harrison I am very fearful of a lot of 13-10, 13-7, 20-10 type losses next year.

And we are going to pay TO 9 million to play for another team. Nice, especially if we end up playing whatever team he joins next year. We could actually end up paying TO to beat us.

Gawd, Calvin Watkins on NFLN making a fool of himself.

He sounds like he's personally hurt that TO was cut. Watch for the hatchet articles from him on this.

Shameless plug.

I'm happy, you?

I think it's dumb move based on the information I have. I'm neither happy nor sad. It's a game to me that I enjoy watching. I try not to let personal feelings ruin my impartiality, unlike you.

Pound the ball, move the chains with Roy. I love it. I think Romo will have his best season and Witten is going to explode. Being an explosive offense doesn’t win, being consistent does.
Hey, you changed your sig.

Austin showed a lot of promise and Crayton can hurt you as well. Not to mention Felix coming out of the backfield.

Everything is off of BSPN. Is it possible- being this late at night- that this is BS?

Actually we aren't paying TO another dime. In 3 months we would have paid him another $3 million which would have been an additional cap hit of $ 1 million over the next 3 years. Once the season started we would have been paying him his base salary of $9 million.

We are being hit with a $9,600,000 cap hit but he will be completely off the books by next off-season.

He will never see another penny of Cowboys money.

Romo is gonna be scary good when he is just looking for the open guy without the "crap, I have to look for TO" shadow hanging over him constantly.

I didn't think Jerry would have the stones to pull the trigger on this one. Great move.

We weren't going anywhere with him. Let's see what we can do without him.

Had Roy Williams impressed last year, then maybe this move makes sense.

He didn't show anything, nothing about his performance last year suggested that he is a #1 receiver in this league.

Miles is a great athlete, but only has 18 career catches and I'm concerned if his hands are that sure (remember Washington?)

Crayton is Crayton.

I really really really hope we make a move for another WR, or draft one very early in the draft.

Glazer was on NFLN a few minutes ago and says many players wanted him off the team.

Also says he thought this would happen from talking to the Joneses and others at the Senior Bowl.

Says it wasn't a case of Stephen talking Jerry into it. Says he never got the feeling that Jerry was dead set on keeping TO like most people claim and that Jerry was asking opinions of lots of people lately.

Says this was done to give Tony the locker room. Says they made a concerted effort to clean up this locker room and allow Tony to lead.

He's also propping our recent drafting and thinks we should draft a WR.

If 4 out of 11 defensive players are covering 2 guys and we can't move the ball with the RBs we have than we suck anyway, and weren't winning anything even with TO.
