What ever happened to DaQuan Bowers? I seem to remember him being good coming out of college.

There are no Elite level guys but we also didn't lose many elite level guys so shouldn't be too hard to replace or slight upgrade off that list

That's the deal. The only elite level player we lost was Murray. The rest was a lot of hit and miss depth that we should be able to replace.

If any of these guys are any good, why are they still available?

Did you read the list?

Yes. And from who we lost on defense is we plenty of guys who can either match those players production or be a minor upgrade. Maybe they have a few loves in this draft class and want to wait until after to fill out roster.

There's a couple of guys that you might be inclined to dismiss as 'has beens' but that have continued to be productive until quite recently. They might be worth looking at to provide limited snaps in pass rush situations.

John Abraham is ancient but still had 11.5 sacks as recently as 2013. Only played one game last year.

James Harrison has 5.5 sacks in 11 games last season. Not sure if he can line up with a hand on the ground.

Still a lot of good players available.

Would love it if we could get Raji in the middle.

No, there are players that A) you recognize and B) if you do, will likely be out of our budget range.

Frighteningly enough, I do not even see a Jeremy Mincey in that DE group.

The DTs look okay with a bunch of older veterans, but I am willing to bet there is zero interest in them either.

Im thinking more about depth here.

I'd rather spend a little extra now on a run stuffer then use our first rounder on one.

If they can't rush the QB then I don't want to burn a 1st or 2nd rounder on them.

I like Michael Johnson at DE.

Didn't see him in Tampa but I can't imagine he lost all of his talent by switching from Cincy to Tampa

I wouldn't mind Kevin Williams coming in here and getting a few snaps a game at the 1 tech. Old guys can play DT for a while if they keep their strength. Problem is that he will probably want more than vet minimum.

I want Michael Johnson, but he'll probably be too blue for our birth. I imagine that we'll pick up someone that will sign for something that doesn't guarantee he'll make it out of camp.

There are several grey beards on there I would like to have like Williams, Starks, Bryant, etc. but that is not our style. I would be absolutely shocked.

This is one list of remaining free agent DL. I don't know if it's completely accurate.

24 BAL Lawrence Guy
24 SEA Jesse Williams - Knee problems....
...

Other than Cowboys/former Cowboys, I really don't know about any of these players (on xwalker's list) but I do know I would not want a Guy, a Still, a YouBoty, nor a Cheta.

Depth? We have no left end worth even backing up under contract at the moment. And yes, I know THE Ben Gardner is coming the rescue.

There are veterans here that can do what you are thinking about in terms of run support. But we do not seem to be into the veteran signing business at all.

He has been on a visit to Minnesota and may end up visiting Cincinnati. I doubt we are even thinking about him.

There are a lot of reclamation projects on that list.

I still think Derrick Morgan is the best edge rusher available, outside of Hardy. I would be happy to add him. He can at least give us what Selvie did.

At least Dallas teased with Jared Allen last year.

Now we got a Jed, Jasper and their beaten down nag.
