Dunbar or McFadden....okay, this is a win-win for RB signings today, Lance wasn't walking around hungry.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion and you may be proven right when its all said and done. I believe that is why they play the games. That said, your bitterness is showing.

I would also challenge your point about nobody else wanted "them", whoever "them" is. It has been reported that both McFadden and Williams had interest from other teams. But we ignore that because it doesn't fit your agenda, right?

Some food for thought. How many people would have bet money before the season that a 4th round rookie QB would lead us to a 13-3 record last year? My guess would be not many.

Just because we didn't make any splash signings does not immediately and automatically doom this next season to failure. Have some perspective.
Not bitter at all .............. just hate wasting time and money on JAGs

but you can scrapbook with DMAC and TWill and feel all warm and cozy

Hate and bitterness are close relatives in my opinion.

Whether or not any of these signings will be "wasting time and money" as you say remains to be seen, unless I missed the 2017 season. If I did miss it, how did we do?

For the record, I am not feeling "warm and cozy". I would say that I am more cautiously optimistic. I am not ignorant to the teams previous missteps, nor am I hyper-critical of their new free agent philosophy. I just see much benefit in getting all lathered up over something I have no control over. The Steven Jackson draft forced me to change my perspective so that I did not live or die (figuratively) on every move they made....or didn't make. There is a bigger picture. It seems to me that they are positioning themselves financially to be able to afford to resign our own stars like Zack Martin in a few years.

Look, I would have been excited if we had signed any "splash" players too but, that was clearly not the direction the team was going.

Make sure he has a wrist band connected to his phone so he can't drop it in the offseason again.

This and all signings so far are as expected by this front office, this is now the norm. Fill holes, work the draft. Stephan has said as much each of the last few years. Every so often I expect them to sign a "big get" ala N.E. this year, but that will be the aberration, not the norm.
I have no problem with how they are handling it this year, would like to see resolution with Romo one way or the other. And once his salary is off the books next year, our cap resources will look much better. (May still end up spreading it out over two years).
Whether they want to admit it or not, they have been frugal these last few years cause they have had to. Sure they could always do "some things" but now they have cleaned up the cap - after this year, and things will be easier to do - if they want to.... May still add a few more lower echelon players for depth but that's about all I see.
And all positions are open come the draft.
I have no problem with it so far.

A top 10 RB who agrees to be a backup? For only 2 Million?

Such a deal !!
It was gonna happen so no biggie......... I just want more.......an AD or a JCharles plus a rookie draft faller like Mixon

Happy about retaining DM. Dallas will likely take a RB later in this deep RB draft to replace Jackson.....if Dallas liked Jackson so much they wouldn't have tried to sneak him through

Cool. Wonder if they are gonna cut Morris and find someone in the draft. Or keep Morris and draft Dunbar's replacement.

End of round 4...loaded w/ RBs that could step in Dunbars shoes. May be even able to get someone in the 6th like we did last year.;)

Donnel Pumphrey RB San Diego St.
Wayne Gallman RB Clemson
Joe Williams RB Utah
Elijah McGuire RB Louisiana-Lafayette
Matt Dayes RB N C State
Kermit Whitfield KR/WR Florida St
Isaiah Mckenzie KR Georgia
Greg Ward Jr. RB Houston

As you can see....there are literally a dozen guys that could step in and give us what Dunbar provided. I'm not scared:D

Still think that was a mistake...I'd offer Cleveland Morris to see if they would want him...so we could get Jackson back. ;)
