Hate it! Looks like Jerry has more control then everyone thinks. Back to gambling on players with potential "character" issues. How many players will this make in the past 3-4 years? I'm so sick and tired of it.

On top of that, he may be a strong tackler and good at coverage but he will get smoked by the taller receivers (ie NY's Engram and Marshall). He also has a tendency to draw a lot of flags. PI is the absolute worst penalty a team can get in the NFL. This was a step back IMO.

Claiming this kid has character issues is unfair to him. It's just one incident (albeit a serious one) that involves his ex-gf, and he's pleading Not Guilty. Let's wait until after the trial to see what happens.

Here's what I wrote about lewis 3 months ago. I wasn't a huge fan but not a reach pick at all. My 15th ranked CB.

15 Jourdan Lewis Michigan 5'9 185 Good in run support. Good open field tackler. Takes on blockers. Quick to react. Small frame. Likes to play physical at LOS. Good short area quickness. Constantly in the hip pocket of recievers when playing man. Does a good job in man and zone schemes. Can play off man but Most comfortable in press man when he can be physical. Saw him miss on his jam. Doesn't have the makeup speed to recover. Gets grabby when beaten off the line. Too small to play outside but perfect slot guy.

You are totally wrong here. Awuzie's SPARQ score was near the highest in the draft this year. He is just slightly less physically gifted than Byron Jones

Maybe but he isn't really elite in any physical trait. Hes very quick but he doesn't have elite speed.

Im sensing a theme here. Both CBs they picked aren't guys who physically wow you with athletic traits. What sets them apart is the competitive drive they have as DBs. Looks like they are looking for tough minded Dbs. Guys who aren't going to sulk after they get burnt one time. Come back and fight harder.

Cheeto's is a SPARQ guy.

This is my favorite of our picks so far and I wouldn't be surprised if Lewis ends up being the best player we get in this draft. Very consistent and impressive player at Michigan the last few years.
