Murray wouldn't have that much to do with the success of the Cowboys this year.
As the front office correctly guessed.

So what's the story with Flynn? How did he go from awesome backup to Rodgers, to competing with Russell Wilson for a starting spot, to being cut from the likes of Raiders, Jets and Patriots in next couple of years? Seems he has fallen mightly. Am I wrong?

Flynn is terrible, would rather just roll with Weeden or try and acquire McCoy

Austin Davis was out there not too long ago, but the Browns signed him.

I think I heard they are working out Josh Johnson, Ponder, and Flynn tomorrow.

If it's between those 3 Ponder will win in a landslide.

Ponder has great physical ability but he turns in average performances.

Mort said we're looking at Flynn, Josh Johnson and Christian Ponder.

Who is Josh Johnson and how did he become a "veteran" without me hearing of him ever before? Is he sure its not Brad Johnson?

ok don't kill me but would you all really rather have a Josh Johnson or Christian Ponder over Showers. I know I am beating a dead horse here but why not give him a try if this is who we are bringing in?

Work them all out. None of them can fill Romo's shoes, as a passer. Without Murray and Dez, Romo would have been hard pressed to succeed to levels he did last season. Without all 3, Cowboys need to get creative and not just look for another warm body. We need to continue winning to give Dez and Romo a chance in the postseason.

Question. Why are we still talking about Murray? Why? He's a damn Eagle! I might add, not "flying" very high, as of late.

At this juncture, I'd take Flynn or Ponder or even Tebow as the backup to Weeden. I'd also take Kellen Moore from the PS if he is the best of the available.

What's it going to be then, eh?

That's what's known as "my point" - we aren't looking to supplant Weeden, we are looking to back him up. I think Flynn would be capable in that role.

Okay. I suggest Flynn is not better than Moore then.

I am 100% for this one. I'd honestly feel better about Flynn than Weeden.

For his career, Flynn is over 60% completion percentage and nearly 2-1 TD/INT ratio. Those stats are good enough to not lose games for you.

Not crazy about Ponder. And absolutely NO to Tebow. Matt Flynn and Kellen Moore are unknown.....between them, I like KM.
