what would ellis' trade value be? A 4th rounder at best?
I honestly don't care what his value is at this point. That may sound harsh, but he is being phased out, isn't worth his contract and could be waived to free cap room nearing 5 million dollars worth. No draft pick or player will be equal to that worth.

Ellis is expendable..Iwant Brandon Williams and Victor Butler to get some PT..at some point they have to go in a play, with Ellis here they will ride the bench. Get them out there!!

Ellis for Roscoe straight up..let's get it done. Please

I wonder why New England backed away from a deal? I honestly thought it sounded like it was going to happen.

I can't imagine the Cowboys wanting Ocho Cinco at this point, but if the Bengals were willing to trade him straight up for Ellis, I would take it.

We just got rid of one malcontent, now you want another one. Do any of you fans ever learn!!!

Ocho Cinco never goes across the middle, and is alway shooting his mouth off, TJ Houshmanzedah was the lead receiver last year in cincy, not Ocho Cinco, plus the mouth piece has wanted a new contract for three years now. let him rot in Cincy..

It is better to cut ties a little early rather then a little too late. Ellis was a good player for us for a long time even though his constant whinning drove me crazy.

He probably ends up getting cut. I doubt any team will give up picks for him. If NE declines on an aging veteran, you know something is wrong.

If the Cowboys are really looking to move Greg Ellis, they have got to be convinced Anthony Spencer is ready for a breakout campaign.

I know Spencer is a talented player, but it'd be risky to go with him and have two rookies backing up both outside spots.

The 3-4 is driven by the outside linebackers.

I agree. I'd *hate* it if we traded Ellis with nothing behind Spencer. Is there anyone on the FA market we'd sign?

That said, teams would give up more than people expect for a talented pass rusher. He's a perfect fit in NE.

They probably have no desire to give up picks or a player for him and have heard through the air that he will get cut if he isn't traded.

He should have no gripes. He was basically catered to by Jerry. He wanted "appreciation" after an injury shortened season and he got it. No other team would have tried to placate him in so many ways.

This is not an accurate statement.

Am I the only one who wonders where we will get a third rusher from without Ellis around? I agree this needs to be his last year here. Maybe I'm too conserative.

I don't see how you can depend on any rookies we have on the team.

Where does it say that it's a possibilty?. Ellis for Ocho Cinco?? Umm are you kidding me? I would take that deal in a heartbeat. The dude just wants to win..unlike TO, he actually means it when he says "I just want to win, I don't care how many balls are thrown in my direction"

Brandon Williams and Victor Butler. Give them a chance to play behind Spencer and Ware.

I understand your concerns but Ellis is not going to be around forever and at some point, the team needs to find out if the young guys can play. Spencer was a #1 pick and he needs to get on the field. Having Ellis there stunts his growth.

Draft picks arent worth jack right now after the draft. I would want a third or a player we can use.

Wow, I can't believe that Ellis thinks he is being shopped. He would think the janitor cleaning out the trash can in his locker as a sign that he is going to be traded.
