I honestly don't care what his value is at this point. That may sound harsh, but he is being phased out, isn't worth his contract and could be waived to free cap room nearing 5 million dollars worth. No draft pick or player will be equal to that worth.

I can't imagine the Cowboys wanting Ocho Cinco at this point, but if the Bengals were willing to trade him straight up for Ellis, I would take it.

It is better to cut ties a little early rather then a little too late. Ellis was a good player for us for a long time even though his constant whinning drove me crazy.

If the Cowboys are really looking to move Greg Ellis, they have got to be convinced Anthony Spencer is ready for a breakout campaign.

I know Spencer is a talented player, but it'd be risky to go with him and have two rookies backing up both outside spots.

The 3-4 is driven by the outside linebackers.

I agree. I'd *hate* it if we traded Ellis with nothing behind Spencer. Is there anyone on the FA market we'd sign?

That said, teams would give up more than people expect for a talented pass rusher. He's a perfect fit in NE.

He should have no gripes. He was basically catered to by Jerry. He wanted "appreciation" after an injury shortened season and he got it. No other team would have tried to placate him in so many ways.

Where does it say that it's a possibilty?. Ellis for Ocho Cinco?? Umm are you kidding me? I would take that deal in a heartbeat. The dude just wants to win..unlike TO, he actually means it when he says "I just want to win, I don't care how many balls are thrown in my direction"

I understand your concerns but Ellis is not going to be around forever and at some point, the team needs to find out if the young guys can play. Spencer was a #1 pick and he needs to get on the field. Having Ellis there stunts his growth.
