An ACL is very often two seasons until a full recovery is made. He’s never been an aggressive tackler nor is he ever likely to be. A new DC won’t fix that but a new DC may actually play to Diggs strengths.

You already paid the guy, we know upside is there since we’ve seen the turnovers. To me it isn’t worth losing cap money unless someone over pays in a trade. I’d rather roll the dice on him for next year and if he doesn’t improve the cap ramifications are more in your favor a year from now.
Play to his strengths lol. Yall lied about Zim not letting him play man as Jameson Williams smoked him while playing man. Dallas cowboys fans loving giving highly paid all pros excuses so why shouldn't Jerry?

if we’re gonna start a teardown soon get rid of Trevon Diggs tomorrow.

We can actually still be competitive down the stretch without this business decision making fraud of a player.

The Giants have a defensive back Banks - who did exactly what Diggs did two weeks ago no showing tackles half assing it etc - and they have torn into him. The fans have called him out. The radio stations have called them out Brian Dabel has spoken to him. Etc

If Jerry makes one move before this off-season - this is it.

Change the country club culture
if we can get a 2nd and 4th, then by all means.

I get it, but if it's that bad, he shouldn't be on the field because he is more of a hindrance than an asset right now...I am not expecting him to be a tackling machine, but at least max effort? Overshown is coming off a serious injury, right? Sorry, but I don't buy it

I'm not here to defend Diggs too much, he's not been a great player this year, but unless I'm missing a play I'm not sure he really got smoked by Williams. I only see 3 catches by Williams, who beat Diggs on a nice 15 yard route inside in the 1st. He had the TD pass at 12:42 in the 3rd which was just a total cluster. Zero players on defense were ready for the snap. Your safety over the top just watched the entire play. Your DL didn't even get in stances. Yes ultimately it's still on Diggs, but that's a clear coaching failure when guys are that unprepared to play.

Too late to shop him. There is no way they would let him go right now.

And that's fair under normal conditions, but also we have an issue of simply not having anyone else. You're a Reds fan so it's a pretty easy comparison, but its also like the Reds continuing to play Jeimer Candelario all year when he struggles to even field a ball...but when you lose CES, and the other options are Santiago Espinal and Noelvi Marte what other option to do you have than to run him out there and hope he can send one over the fence that night?

If I'm missing a play Diggs gave up or you disagree with the TD evaluation I'm all ears.....
I mean, you're hell bent on blaming Zimmer for that bum getting destroyed on Williams td. I'm good on any further discussion on it. Soft players live on excuses so I'm sure Diggs appreciates it

If you think you can win at the highest level with a guy like diggs as one of the highest paid players in your locker room you are dreaming. Phenomenal talent who only cares about making bank. Pure poison to a team that wants to win it all.

I hate when Op's just hit on one player... Dak..Diggs etc. The whole defense is soft...all of them tackle like Diggs except Wilson -Kendricks-and the rookie linebackers. And that's just the defense. Offense? Oline is soft as tissue paper. Marin done got his money and virtually has retired all ready. Whiney-girlie-wide receiver who quits on the team when he doesn't get the ball. The other wr's are horrible. And lastly a 60-million-dollar quarterback who's afraid to run anymore. Then we have the front office and coaching. It's a miracle we're 3-3...Only good think we have is the kicker......as of now...

No I'm hellbent on blaming Zimmer for being a horrible DC at this stage of his career. I'm also hellbent on blaming Jerry for being a total moron thinking he can put coaches on expiring deals, bring in a bunch of players on the cheap and expect anything different than guys making business decisions on the field.

There is plenty of Diggs blame to go around, but honestly just go pull up that play. Pause it as soon as the snap is made and tell me this isnt a terribly coached defense. That play was a TD with anyone covering Williams.
