I said before they signed him to a big deal that if he's not getting INTS he's a liability @phildadon86 can vouch for this.

Another bad invest by Jerry.
100 percent right you did. And I am done with him too.

I want to give him the benefit of the doubt in coming back from an ACL because he did look a lot better in coverage before that. However. His decisions to not tackle, coupled with him not getting interceptions is my reason for wanting him gone. Another player who has bought into the Cowboy culture that Jerry has created. He literally was a main reason we lost to San Fran on the Kittle play.

Also welcome back.

We have been asking for a true ball hawking corner for years and now you want to get rid of him cause he is a poor tackler? Deion Sanders was a worst tackler, would you trade him too?
To be clear from the other thread, I don’t want to have to trade him, but if it’s a means to help fix the DL, it could be something to consider.

Diggs is a good player, and if you expect a decent pick in return, you can’t expect to move someone off your PS to get it.

My original post included the idea of using the cap savings/and or the pick acquired to sign a DT/s, which I also tried to make clear wasn’t going to happen the way this FO thinks.

Next May, when the “draft just didn’t fall that way,” DT will remain a problem next season no matter who the coordinator ends up being. No one can work with this group.

They seem to be reasonably adept at finding corners on day three so it seemed like a reasonable idea to discuss…maybe for when this place used to be a little more about football than frustration.

You can have Prime and Willie Brown back there and it won’t matter if you can’t stop the run.

It’s an organization full of players that want that one big contract.

That’s what winning the Super Bowl is for Dallas Cowboys players these days.

We have the worst fans ever.
Now everyone wants to hate on Diggs.
They are hating on Micah, always hated Zeke. Hating on the QB's.

What an embarrassment. Yes Jerry gave reason to be. But fans are taking the frustrations out on players more so than ever now.

We have the worst GM ever. He creates and encourages this. Blaming the fans is comical. Those business decisions are a problem on and off the field. Like Jerry, Diggs makes plenty of them.

Cowboy fans sure do love to eat their own. Hate you, then they love you, then they hate you again.

Diggs is coming off a major surgery and people expect him to be Prime, Champ and Woodson all rolled up into one. But but Jameson Williams burned him one on one last week, like Williams doesn't have top 10 speed in the league. Very few (if any) corners can go stride for stride with Williams.

Clueless fans can clamor to trade Diggs if you want and I guarantee half the league would love to take this so called "Dallas problem" off their hands.

If anyone has been listening to me, you have to hire Bellicheck or Saban to change the culture here. Any other hires would do nothing to change the way this team operates!
To hire those guys Jerry and Stephen would have to drop out the spotlight then what nobody talks about, the no name execs, “yes” men, and family members would need to be removed. I can’t see them doing any of those things unless they lose money.

I get signing Dak but I wanted a full rebuild with CeeDee on offense and Micah on defense with a hot young coach with ammunition to draft a young quarterback. Obviously that is not going to happen.

if we’re gonna start a teardown soon get rid of Trevon Diggs tomorrow.

We can actually still be competitive down the stretch without this business decision making fraud of a player.

The Giants have a defensive back Banks - who did exactly what Diggs did two weeks ago no showing tackles half assing it etc - and they have torn into him. The fans have called him out. The radio stations have called them out Brian Dabel has spoken to him. Etc

If Jerry makes one move before this off-season - this is it.

Change the country club culture
Diggs is always late to the party and when he does arrive his tackling abilities are on par with a high schooler with his " Fetus " style tackling. This dude got paid and now he's afraid of hitting or worse yet getting RUN OVER. I agree, he took the league by surprise, but now that he's been figured out, he's average at best and that results in a whole lot of completed passes in his vicinity. Float his name out there and see if there are any baits............

I think they would run the team as a group, like they did when Parcells was here. The Jones Family will still be involved in the decision making, but their team will build a consenus with everything, not just the draft.

We need a HC who believes the way you team build is inside out, not the other way around like this franchise has done for many years, especially on defense.

They always can create more cap space to sign such a player, but have decided against that. I am not interested in trading away any of our defensive playmakers as we don't have many to begin with, must build around them.

Bill and Saban would never agree to that. Both guys talk to Parcells. Jerry couldn’t help his self but undermine Bill. The media will be watching and waiting. Talking about a mess!!!!!!

Do you realize Bellicheck used to work for the Cowboys after he got fired from the Browns in a scouting role? He has a strong relationship with the Jones family.

As I’ve said, I’m not fully into it either. What they need to do is participate in free agency or find a way to acquire more draft picks…. the former would figure to be best for immediate help, but is that going to happen at any point? I mean it’s been what, fourteen years?

The whole idea was taking from outside…. and a strength… and investing inside, as you mention. I don’t want to trade good players either, but you’re not getting much in return for ones that aren’t.

I consider it more likely they sign a significant free agent DT than trade a CB who sells a fair amount of #7s. You and I both know neither is happening, so I propose moving on lol.

I’m sure they get along, but you have to admit that the way Jerry and BB go about things are as close to polar opposite as can be. Who is compromising and to what degree?

Really wow. I am watching the Aaron Hernandez story and there is no way Jerry could tolerate Bill as a head coach. Then again the Cowboys have no talent so the story to sell the media is an odd couple relationship. It would be the number 1 offseason story.

I have heard he wants either the Cowboy or Eagle jobs if they become available.

Too late. He's been exposed, and his contract makes him untradeable. Unless you're short on some Pringles salt n vinegar chips!!!!!
