I just don't get how it could be ther personnel though.

Is Nick Hayden and Morris Claiborne really bringing everyone else down this badly?

The key to the Kiffin 4-3 is those two LBs dropping roughly 20 yards back and covering TEs and even helping with WRs. The Bears had a HOFers in Urlacher and quite possibly the best 4-3 OLB over the past decade in Lance Briggs. Those two guys were tailor made for the Kiffin 4-3.

As somebody else here correctly pointed out, Sean Lee and Bruce Carter's true strength is their ability to run sideline-to-sideline. Whoever thought it would be a great idea and take those two guys and drop them deep in pass coverage in a Kiffin 4-3 wasn't thinking clearly....

I don't know why this constantly needs to be said... Rob Ryan was not going to generate turnovers the way the offense was playing. Part of turnovers is confidence in your offense to produce if the risk back-fires. He was a scape-goat plain and simple.

Wade did not produce turnovers here as well, because Jerry gace him Dave Campo, Jacques Reeves and Anthony Henry and an old, LB core, besides the fact the offense wasn't producing nor showed an ability to eat up the clock when necessary.

Can you say knee-jerk reaction? Yeah, that D-Ware is a cancer and an all around loafer. How he ever got so many freaking sacks is truly astounding. Him and Monte can help each other pack. Never mind we have two third stringers playing alongside him and Hatch. This defense is just snake bit by injuries. Last season it was the LBers, this season it's the DLine.

couldnt have said it better, because I swear thru the preseason and in week1 we wanted to build Monte a monument outside At&T

Rob Ryan is doing well and can be aggressive because he has a potent offense and a mastermind OC, besides HC, that he knows can put up numbers.

The Raiders dominating the Chargers is why I love the NFL so.... there is a huge amount of unpredictability in the NFL game and the "on-an-given-day" mantra is constantly proving itself on a weekly basis.

I have no idea how the Chargers club that looked all world against Dallas looked they didn't even belong in the same ballpark as the Raiders. That's the beauty of the NFL!

You mean parity?

Yep. Ryan waltzes in and inherits a viable defense in Dallas and New orleans. Kiffin comes in and finds mostly garbage surrounding Ware and Lee.

Viable defense? Did you see how poorly New Orleans defense was last season? This has been a big time turnaround for that squad.

Who said anything about a new cast of players? When I write "viable" I means as in a defense that is largely competent and ready to play -- without the massive list of injuries to 2 starters and injuries to many backups. Yeth, Lee and Ware were hurting last year but they were able to contribute some. When Big Boy Ryan came here he had a credible defense. Same in New Orleans. Old man Kiffie, on the other foot, comes in an immediately has sudden and long-simmering injuries on his plate and 2 starters injured (they say) and all the other injuries.

So read and comprehend and dont be such a pain in the class.

Quit drinkign them corn squeezins forthwith! As poor as you say NO's defense was last season, it cannot compare to the collaspse of ourn defense in Dallas this year.
You is comparing jugs and molasses with these two teams.
Get sober and git back to me, hombre malo.

What are you taking about? Seriously, perhaps you should take your own advice and put the jug down, considering nowhere in my statement did I mention our defense. I simply said that New Orleans defense wasn't viable last season, don't believe me look at the stats and game summaries from last year.

You are not making any sense honestly... Carry on though, maybe someone will agree with you I am certainly not one of them.

Yeah, let me interupt my viewing of "Cops Reloaded" so I can study states and game summaries from last year. (Rolling mein eyes.)
No jug. I am waiting for my Lone Star card to be reloaded with monies so I can trade groceries for liquid refreshments.

The "viable" New Orleans Saints defense were #31 in yards per game and #32 in points per game last season.

Although I didn't mention the Cowboys anywhere in my post despite your drunken ramblings to the contrary, thought you may want to know Dallas is currently #28 in yards and #22 in points.

PS: In the future if you want to be taken seriously by anyone over the age of 10, please learn how to type ;)

Our Core players now suck, or either went str8 to average because of this 4-3 switch.

Ware is pedestrian....Carter can't get out of his own way...Lee looks like a JAG, MO looks like Reeves 2.0 besides last game,(oh yeah we ran man 2 man...duh)

Church is next on the chopping block

The only guys still doing good are Hatcher, and OScan. Brandon Carr is just steady

Is you confusing "viable" with "venerable" or "venerated"?
The educated guy I know at the Jiffy Mart says it means "feasible" and not "outstanding" as you seem to defy it.
To compare the NO defense to our really bad defense last year and this year is really laughable. Ha-ha-ha.
As for my typing i am trying. the rehab funds half run out and I am open to suggestions about how to achief the better results. But first I half to apply to that stuffy woman who give me the cold shoulder at the help office.

1. Capable of living, developing, or germinating under favorable conditions.
2. Capable of living outside the uterus. Used of a fetus or newborn.
3. Capable of success or continuing effectiveness; practicable:

Unless you were going with the living definition, how exactly is the worst defense in the NFL capable of success or continuing effectiveness? No matter how you want to define it, Rob Ryan did not inherit a "viable" defense in New Orleans.

As for the comparison,

Last year the Saints were: #31 in yards and #32 in points; meanwhile, the Cowboys were #19 in yards and #24 in points. So yes the New Orleans defense was in fact worst than our defense last year. But by all means keep telling yourself otherwise if it makes you feel better about life.

Did you missed the word "capable" as in capable of success? I think you diiiiiid! Thus and forthwith you half failed. So drink up and return the mason jar to the squeezins house and dont think you are all educated like the guy at the Jiffy Mart. And i also no an educated gal at the Donut Hut so watch it!
