And the bigger thing the last few years is if the injury bug hits hard Doesn't matter We know Matt was the bigger problem last year but really the last two years injuries to our key players rampant I mean excessive..

Look this is what they're doing in free agency it's solid steady They tried to make a big splash it didn't work I mean Dean chose the Raiders Max Crosby well we know that drama he's not even really available anymore but they tried But it sets them up for not reaching in the draft they're gonna probably bring in a linebacker today probably Orecke or somebody..

They're making sure they have pieces for Parker in place before the draft enough to where you don't reach..

That means all positions especially on defense are still open there's nobody that they brought in that could keep them from taking a splash player in the draft if it's BPA they'll probably grab it I prefer them not to go after another safety but if the best safety in the draft on your board is there you probably need to take him.. Those DE don't prohibit you from bringing in the best players now but you also now have the depth..

Hes definitely a good addition to this team.

Durant is the CB that got boxed out by Chicago TE Cole Kmet in the playoffs. 5’11 CB on flood routes with 6’6 TEs is tough on anyone.

Maybe, or hopefully that is, this guy can replace what Lewis gave the Cowboys as the slot corner.

In my opinion Lewis's production is sorely missed and was never replaced.

Right and I saw Deion Sanders absolutely toasted by Michael Irvin and sometimes a better player gets a leg up in a game or a play, nobody's perfect so I'm not even sure why you had to mention it Yeah he got beat so long as he ain't toast on every play or 75% of his plays allowing completions and big plays like we see last year with a bunch of our rotational corners that never found their legs..

I mean look at the Cowboys receivers of what they done to teams like the Eagles who thought back end was pretty good This got lit up they they were made to look bad but they were not bad... They got beat a few plays here and there guys are gonna get beat You know there are a lot of talent on the other side whether it's offense or defense or special teams somebody might get got..lol

In this with these guys that are being brought in which I'm making wholesale assumptions that they're being approved by Parker and company.. Dan Quinn did this brought in a lot of his own guys Mike Zimmer didn't have time but he brought in a few Matt Ebert flews his guys were horrible let's just hope this is better...

But they all do it all the way back to Parcells Guys followed him all around from team to team.. You have to have a small percentage of guys that you know comfortable in your system.

With Durant, now they can take bpa at 12 they aren't forced to take a corner. At 20 they may have to take a linebacker.

I posed the issue about having an honest conversation pertaining to our db room yesterday morning. Lol. Maybe ole Jerrah woke up long enough from his rum imposed slumber to listen to our new DC Christian Parker lol. Let's not stop here. Keep em coming. Next in the menu, vet signal caller at linebacker. Somebody to quarterback the new system.

Adding a veteran corner was necessary as is adding another high draft pick at the position. What we do know is, CP's background is a DB coach and has a strong track record of developing the position.

What I think people are missing here is coming into this year and hope nothing bad happens in practice or camp, we have a bunch of players who last year were on PUP or got injured or were injured and we were waiting until almost mid-season for most of them to get back,

hell the year before as well injuries have played a big part in the consistency with all these players in and out of lineup, but if you add to the fact we'll have QW for the entire year, Not acquired mid-season or later whenever the trade deadline went down, And all those players that were banged up and didn't really participate in camp or preseason, Well at least at this point right now Overshown, Revel, Bland, and Butler,

They are at least coming in healthy this time.

That should help a lot....

Thompson could be the place holder there right now if they are unable to fill in the draft. Bell as also been mentioned. I am expecting a ton of 3 safety looks like Arizona used last season, where our DB came from.
