thanks. I missed that,
Mods, can you combine the threads.
thanks. I missed that,
Better than we've had in a while. Something to continue doing, and OL was our week spot for once. It was our Achilles heel last year. The team had depth last year.
His best season was as a 3-4 OLB in Wade's system (did help having Donald in that front). In college was praised for his coverage skills. Was not great in 2 years with Atlanta under Quinn and then Pees. No surprise that Falcons released him
Well, let's be fair....Gregory was a top 5 pick in every mock until people realized that he had some sort of mental ailment, and was a stoner.Gregory was a 2nd round pick though. If I’m not mistaken I think Fowler was the 3rd pick in the draft. Definitely a bust but that’s ok. There’s a good player there.
you mean the team coached by Dan Quinn?Third overall pick in 2016 who will be playing for his 4th team in 6 years, so yes he’s in the bust category. He was part of that Atlanta defense that we overcame a 20 point deficit in 2020.
Ha right.you mean the team coached by Dan Quinn?

$8 million I bet it’s closes to $3Well, let's be fair....Gregory was a top 5 pick in every mock until people realized that he had some sort of mental ailment, and was a stoner.
As a Gregory fan (of his actual skill set, not personality or accomplishments), I am confident in saying that they are very very similar on the field.
If we got this guy at anything below 8m for one year it's a steal.
Is it an UPGRADE? Nope, but we are treading water at worst and when you add in risk, I dont see how we aren't ahead here.
Still would love to see the details.
yet how many in here want him given the keys to the team.Yes that team best known for blowing huge leads.
I don’t recall Gregory being that high maybe the Cowboys said that but I never saw him as the best edge rusher in the draft or as a top 5 pick. That seems extreme.Well, let's be fair....Gregory was a top 5 pick in every mock until people realized that he had some sort of mental ailment, and was a stoner.

During the season he was considered top 5. He dropped when stuff started coming outI don’t recall Gregory being that high maybe the Cowboys said that but I never saw him as the best edge rusher in the draft or as a top 5 pick. That seems extreme.

Nah, you're taking a negative slant on reasonable posts.... Fowler is a decent signing (when you look at the CAP restraints and what others are getting paid). You can complain about other available players, however, our available CAP has to be spread over a number of holes.
Thomas Dimitroff the Atlanta gm was responsible for acquiring talent. I'm sure Quinn gave him opinions of what he looks for (ie length) but Dimitroff just didn't supply him with talent that you would expect.I guess the best bet for him under Quinn is that Quinn has made changes to what he does based on studying his own failure in Atlanta. I do Quinn some leeway because of what he did with our defense last year, but I also acknowledge that with Atlanta, he wasn't the best at acquiring talent. This may just be him taking a player he is familiar with because the Joneses aren't going to get him anything better in FA. Got to take a shot at least.

He had 11.5 sacks in 2019.Isn't he in the BUST category?
He has played 91 of a possible 96 regular season games...Injured a lot, but I’m sure Stephen did his due diligence
he has twice the stats in one less year so that would be oh id say a round up so its Gregory thats a bust lol use common sense sure his exceptions may have been higher but does that matter we are getting as good a player cheaper that has twice the production and fans saying somehow that bad thing we lost Gregory and got Fowler. Heck Armstrong nearly had identical numbers as Gregory in the same % of snaps. and we got him back cheap; the luv affair with Gregory from ownership to fans kind of blinded to his actual production i mean hes talented for sure but i believe we wont miss him as much as people, think and its blessing that contract got rejected IMHO..Gregory was a 2nd round pick though. If I’m not mistaken I think Fowler was the 3rd pick in the draft. Definitely a bust but that’s ok. There’s a good player there.
