Signed by Cowboys Cowboys sign Jalen Thompson

Jane Slater asked the team about him this morning. She said all they told her was they are looking at all positions.
The beauty of the Cowboys are they have needs at many positions. You can throw a dart at the Cowboys dartboard and hit a useful target.

Awesome signing. Good player and its gives us more flexibility in the draft and not having to reach or trade up.

Not so fast.

Hendrickson is still on the table.
According to reporting by Slater (if accurate)...Hendrickson is a no sale. Reportedly they are not going to "double down" on a second big money Edge. I think they could possibly do something in the 10 - 12 mil range. Someone like Joey Bosa.

“We have addressed a big need (Gary), will look to add if anything makes financial sense.” Source adds “Not doubling down on a free agent high dollar edge”.

I believe she’s talking to the ill informed source.

He is a starting safety at least.

Almost in the top 50 of all safeties last year (he was rated 51)

..at least we wont be seeing Hooker lost in sights out there.

If Downs falls to us we pic him
The situation here is that Dallas needs players who can make an immediate impact, and with the degenerative injury they found on him, it's unlikely you'll have Down for the entire 2027 season, so I don't see him as a viable option with the 12th pick if he's available. I see Thieneman a few picks lower as a more viable option.
