Signed by Cowboys Cowboys sign K Greg Zeurlein

Hell yea! Greg the Leg aka Legatron, aka see ya Kai Forbath.
We had a big leg last year! How did that workout.
What don’t some of you understand accuracy is way more important than a big leg. Sometimes guys with big legs are less accurate because they over kick at times!

I think this move is dumb. We pay more for a kicker who is less accurate.

And we will without a doubt sign other free agents, meaning it will count in the end.
I don’t see us signing any other free agents... they’ll roll with what they get in the draft, undrafted free agents and post June 1st cuts. Either way they won’t lose the comp picks for Byron, Quinn, and Cobb.

Greg The Leg is a Good solid pickup. Maybe the Cowboys will go out and sign some good wrs and a te who can go up and get a ball so they dont have to rely on just fgs when they play good teams.
Cooper 7 tds
Gallop 4 Tds
Jarwin 4 tds

No scoring sauce against good teams. Dez put up that in a single season. Lol. Go get somebody who can beat a top defender or draw a double team.

Wait....so they just recently signed Kai Forbath to a 1-year/$1.187M contract and now they sign Zeurlein to a 3-year/$7.5M deal????

Is Dallas going to rotate kickers?????
1 year deal...non guaranteed

That's what kickers do. They're up then they're down. Forbath could easily out kick Zuerlein in 2020 just like he did in 2019.

I don't disagree. Zuerlein regaining his form from 2017 isn't a lock.

forbath was good in limited opportunity last year but has not been great his career, this is an upgrade, and when games are on the line, I’d prefer the better kicker
I think Forbath has a better accuracy % in his career than Zeurlien! Who is better and less expensive?

what did KB sign for, this is proof the new coaches are not standing pat at any postion.. Dak trade next jk LOL

Dumb signing. Forbath was fine.

Zeurlein had a foot injury last year. Prior 3 years, he had hit 90% of his FGs and was an all pro. He has deep range that Forbath does not. And obviously, Bones knows the most about him and wanted him. Likely, his price came down significantly, so we give up the $137k to Forbath as a sunk cost, and pounced to get the better kicker. After the Maher debacle last year, and the fact that Forbath was on the street for a while before we got him (meaning our small sample size with him may not have been indicative of his true ability), how you or anyone can complain about this signing is beyond me.

The guy is a former all-pro, Kai Forbath is a journeyman at best. I’ll take my chances with Greg the leg... dude is 77/78 on extra points in the last 2 years - factor that in as well. Plus the Coliseum is a DUMP, I lived in LA and I’ve been there to watch the rams play. He’ll be more accurate in Dallas.
