regardless, that I think he is a Bum, where does he start or play next year? what does he bring to the table moving forward? with his almost 10 million salary
You keep saying 10m.....that is just not true.....never has been

He averages 7.5m on his 6 year deal......he is making 6m this year and 7m next year

At least get your major facts correct

Entering his 5th NFL season and, counting a preseason with the Pats, where he couldn’t even crack the practice squad, we’re Ealy’s 4th team.

Rotational JAG at best.
Practice squad? You need to bone up on how this all works. Kony Ealy has always been on someones roster. He's never had to be put on a practice squad.

Might be the first free agent signing since La'roy Glover...that I approve of. I'm kind of scared of what this means.

maybe you need to re-visit the Bum's contract.
Tyrone Crawford signed a 5 year, $45,000,000 contract with the Dallas Cowboys, including a $10,000,000 signing bonus, $24,675,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $9,000,000. In 2018, Crawford will earn a base salary of $6,000,000, while carrying a cap hit of $9,100,000 and a dead cap value of $7,300,000.

I'm no cap guru, tell me what has he cost us the 1st 3 years of that contract? 10 million signing bonus, plus 3 years at 9 million a year = 27 million...so that's 37 million divided by 3 years equals roughly 12.3 so far. again I'm no cap guru just simple math.

It was an extension. The new 5 yr contract was $45 million as he stated. You are including the 4th yr that was part of his rookie contract.

Because that was when the 10m was paid ,,,,,it was prorated over 6 years so the whole deal has to be included.....part of it was a signing bonus and part was a raise on his 600k salary

There is only 2m left on the original 10m after this year

his cap hits have been- 2.8m, 4.3m, 10.3m, 9m...................you can't whine about the 10m hit and ignore the 2.8m hit

He was paid 24.6m for the first 3 years and is owed 21m for the next 3 years

The deal gets better with age

You have to look at the new money after the original 4 years for a fair comparison to other contracts.

Dude used to be a force. Took over in the Super Bowl run for Carolina. Nice depth, not sure why he wasn't effective last year.

Correct.

However, Carolina traded him to NE in 2017, but he was waived after the 2017 preseason and later claimed by the Jets.

In other words, he was not able to stick with NE during the preseason — even on their practice squad.

You might wanna bone up on deductive reasoning.
