I care more about coverage. If he's getting burned or giving up yards 60% of the time a QB throws his way, this is a downgrade.

We overpaid Carroll. He was bad last year and we just gave him a big raise it appears.

That's not what I meant by a lot less money...as we don't know the terms either. And overpaid by who's opinion, we as fans who aren't in a position to truly say. Jist opinions of each person.

But by less money, I meant not paying $35 million over the length of the contract with $14 million guaranteed.
So 3 years, $10 million, doesn't sound bad to me.

You and others may think this is a bad deal, as for me I don't really know so can't say one way or another, or say you are right or wrong. But there is no reason to freak out about it either.
Just accept it, and hope he pans out, just like a draft pick, we hope they pick the right guy.
