Yah. We are paper thin. At many key positions and the FO continues to act like everything is fine on the SS lollypop.

Actualli I don’t think we are paper thin at depth.
S’s yes, until Woods returns. But still need a 4th S.

It is jist the TE and WR positions are unknown who will be the starters and biggest contributors.
Though many think it is thin from their perceptions that they all suck.

OL, yes , but then again what team isn’t. It is not like all 5 will be missing at the same time. And if they are, it doesn’t matter anyway. Can’t have all pro back ups and every position.

Back up QB, that is troubling though.

with 90 players in every camp there are somewhere near zero quality players available.

the best is Dez Bryant and he has now turned down two deals.

but stephen has stated they will look for trade partners among other teams final cuts list and will also scour late cuts.

in past seasons there will multiple cut downs so more guys came available earlier.

That ain't gonna do it. We have enough guys who can't play at this level-- just adding more JAGs isn't going to improve our depth. We need talent-- not just warm bodies.

These guys are just intended to let the other O-Linemen rest and not risk injury in the rest of TC and preseason. Overall there aren't top O-Linemen just sitting around waiting to be signed like these guys were, and whatever very few O-Linemen there are sitting at home that may have some ability to help are sitting at home for a reason. 32 NFL teams aren't passing on quality players unless there is a reason.

These guys are just place holders for now. Final cuts are coming up and then PS will be formed. McClay will be scouring the interwebs searching for lineman, TE's and safeties who
are available for free with little money.

We were thin at S when Woods was healthy, now we are desperate.

Backup QB is turning into a nightmare. Neither guy looks like a competent NFL caliber backup.

Outside of Looney— we don’t have credible OL play. Our best TE has 9 career catches and would be a serviceable backup on some rosters— nothing more.

Could be worse you could be the Commanders with 3 good TEs but no good WR... Well actually their QB likes throwing to the TE more anyways.

Looks like they are going to try to play their luck with the waiver wire. Not exactly the best odds since they go off the draft order.

They still have to field enough warm bodies to play a game with...with many starters not even going to sniff the carpet on Thursday.

FRISCO, Texas – With thin depth on the offensive line entering the final week of preseason, the Cowboys signed free agent offensive tackle Matthew Diaz and guard Kyle Bosch to the 90-man roster.

To make room, the team waived wide receiver Ricky Jeune and center Dustin Stanton, who injured his knee in Sunday’s 27-3 preseason loss to the Cardinals.

Diaz went undrafted out of Wagner and originally went to training camp with the Titans. Bosch, an undrafted rookie out of West Virginia, was recently cut by the Panthers.

Thanks, how much can they pick up to be given a try out? Not much...but they can contribute something in this final Exhibition Game.

You have just told us why Dallas should not trade for ET. Too many holes to fill. Wait for the cuts to 53 and either work a trade right before or scour the waiver line. There will be some new players not currently on the roster now by September 2nd or 3rd.

They found willing partners for Tavon Austin and Jihad Ward. I have to believe that there are some decent vet backups out there that we could trade for. We need to turn over every rock to find some help because this offense's success is predicated on a dominant OL.

Right now-- we do NOT have one viable backup outside of Looney. Fleming, Edwards, and Green have flat out sucked. We need some urgency from the FO...

Fleming has not been that bad until he gets tired. Hopefully he can improve his stamina. Edwards is ok too. The issue is we certainly can't count on 2-3 of them carry the load. If one has to play it isn't the end of the world. We will really struggle if we have to use more than two of them. Let's remember that they are replacing perennial Pro Bowlers. That isn't easy to do.

Respectfully disagree the OL play... Edwards has looked decent at guard.

This is where we generally lack creativity.

Our coaches are slow to respond to plugging leaks.

Remember the 8 sacks on DAK?

Never changed anything and we lost.

We have the pieces to reshuffle the OL.

They better be practicing what to do..

and I do not mean play these guys they just signed.

As soon as Martin is ready..

give him snaps at C.

Give Williams snaps at C.

Get Fleming ready to play.

Play him at G in place of Williams.

If needed..

Move Collins back inside to G.

This team has to win and the coaches need to cover the problems.

If either DAK or Zeke get hurt becuz of sloppy play and poor coaching..

Jason Is history.

We need to quit whining.

This HC coach has to overcome all this stuff.

Good coaches will.

I suspect they have kicked every tire they can until some vets become available in cut downs. Then we get a stop gap one year fill in or a young dude someone didn’t have room for.

We needed a couple bodies for the D-line to tenderize. Don't want to put people we like in front of that line every snap.. It's just for a week.

LOL. What do you recommend? Cloning Martin and Smith? Where might these talented players be located at the moment? How about we wait for the upcoming cuts and see what’s available instead of trying to ask a magic genie for them?

But we could use warm bodies for the last preseason game. And upgrades to the warm bodies we currently have.
