Yup and people forget that he and the rest of his team's talent were hamstrung by a coach as mediocre as Garrett and the ACTUAL worst FO in the NFL.

I don’t think this has anything to do with Dak. It is all about some actual sanity at the STAR. Everyone knows the most important position is QB. This is just a sign that having bums or total inexperience at backup QB is recognized as total idiocy. Romo seldom had a viable option behind him, either. We were just lucky Dak’s rookie year. That season had the look of the season we were starting guys off the street from week to week.

Because Dalton has potential to be a legitimate threat to take over. Not saying he will but a much better chance than Rush. They’re worried Dak will get beat out.

I like Dak, I like Dallas more. Let the best man win. Its Daks job to lose, show up to camp and work your tail off. Be the better player, which I think he is. If he cant do that, then no hard feelings let Dalton play. This aint about pet cats, its about the Dallas Cowboys.

Unless the FO is putting out blatant lies they have made Dak strong offers. I agree this is insurance, and its a smart move. Dalton should be the back up, but now Dak has incentive not to miss the off season. Its a strong move. 3 million guaranteed, I dont see how anyone criticizes for this.
