Kazee and Neal are a definite upgrade to Thompson and Woods, that's for sure. I think they should keep looking for one more stud centerfielder and they'll be set at safety.

I'd like to see them sign a guy like Hooker to a multi-year deal to see if he can get healthy:

1. Very little this year
2. A moderate raise for year two if he shows something
3. A larger raise in year three
4. A higher end salary for proving his worth by year four

Say something like $1 million, $4 million, $8 million, $16 million

I think it's easy to argue that Kazee has been better than Hooker, even when both were healthy.

Kazee is expected to be the starting FS, and if he is healthy, will be signed to a longer contract.
