Notice that the guys trying to hit it are kicking the ball straight up, not 60 yards downfield (which is about how far in the air a 48-yard punt travels).
Regarding the gist of this thread ... looking at some of the artist renderings that were released a few years ago, some had the seats in some sections painted bright, royal blue and the seats in other sections painted silver. It looks better than the dull blue they all ended up being.
Also, the walls at field level in the end zones currently are bare concrete. During the soccer game, they were partly covered with advertising banners. In the old artist renderings, they're painted royal blue, which obviously looks better. They'd look infinitely better if they were blue with white stars, like the old Texas Stadium walls.
I agree with the OP that the stadium needs more Cowboys-centric decoration, at least for Cowboys games. Hopefully Jerry realizes this, too.
