Parsons game is all about speed, he even depends on that for his power. He is going to take a beating going up against 325-350lbs guys with power all game long.

Ware had that same motor in the beginning and then the over-dependence on him began to take its toll, especially in the 4Q.

He's shot. Move on. Build the defense around a real talent like Clark.

Where are all the “I told you he should be a full time DE guys “ lol?

It always has been and always will be simple physics. 240 can’t hold up against 310 for 17 weeks, he’s gotta be moved to LB throughout games.

Reminds me of another undersized d lineman, Jay Ratliff. Quite explosive until years of beatings slowed him down to actual NT speed.

He has proven he is a difference maker at DE.

He hasn’t proven anything at LBer.

This is the problem: He’s to small to play a lot of snaps at DE, but he’s not a difference maker at LBer.

I say try him at Middle LBer. Bring in Sean Lee to teach him to read offensive keys. Put him in the middle of the action and have him blitz a bunch!!

Smart fans rising to the top in this thread. Doesn't mean I dislike other takes, but we have a generational talent that is getting the crap beat out of him by sticking him on the line too often.
Is he a generational talent at LBer though?

I say put him in the middle of the action, Middle LBer. Let’s see if he is a difference maker there. Will he be a Sean Lee and anticipate the play, or a Jaylon Smith and react after the play starts?

Off the ball LB. That's just what he is.

We did the same thing to Ratliff, ruining his career for a couple good years at NT.

Off the ball LBr that should rush as much as possible.

His best trait is getting after the QB, but our guy just isn’t built to be an every down DE. It’ll ruin him.

Use him like last year…

This is on Dan Quinn. Everyone can see Micah has a smaller body frame compared to opposing O-Tackles. Common sense Micah is going to get worn down. Now, it might be too late for this season. He might already be physically burned out to the point he might not recover until next year. Dan Quinn has rookie Sam Williams who has a bigger and thicker body frame, yet he only plays Sam Williams 8-10 plays a game while Micah gets worn down at DE with still a month to go before the playoffs start?

The Cowboys defensive star admitted that playing the “trench warfare” is starting to take a toll on his body. He told Von Miller on The VonCast that playing more of a linebacker last year was better for his body, but it’s quite different this 2022 as Dallas seemingly uses him as a defensive end more often–despite Parsons’ insistence that he’s still a linebacker.

“People don’t understand that trench warfare. I’m not gonna lie, when I was playing LB a whole lot last year, my body was way more fresh. There were some plays I wouldn’t get touched. When you’re on the line, you’re getting touched every play,” the 23-year-old shared, via Jon Machota of The Athletic.

Just like his rookie year in 2021, Micah Parsons had a brilliant start to his campaign this 2022. Through the first 12 weeks of the season, he accumulated 12.0 sacks as he made his presence felt for the Cowboys.

However, it has been different in the past two games. Not only has Parsons failed to record a sack against the struggling Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans, but he also just had one QB hit and zero tackle for loss in that span. For comparison, he had five QB hits in Week 11 against the Minnesota Vikings, and prior to Weeks 13 and 14, there was just one other game when he failed to register a tackle for loss (in Week 8).

Just take a look at Parson's face when the camera is on him. The dude looks like he NEVER wants to be there. The excitement that he was showing last season is long gone. Parson is telling the truth when he says the game is wearing on him, it's destroying this young stud because his body isn't geared for the beatings it's taking. Quinn is burning this young man out in front of our eyes in HD.........................

Interesting. I believe he is a play maker. As good as Lee reading what is happening? We shall see.

They should put him back at LB and let him heal up a bit. Unleash him again in the playoffs.

Yeah they are going to have to pace him like a rb getting his touches.

We have enough rushmen to preserve Parsons.

Let him run and chase in base downs and pass rush on obvious passing downs. It's not rocket science.

Let LVE / Clark play MLB and take on the more of the dirty work and let Micah use his speed as a WILL LBr in base downs.
