Cowboys to interview Saleh

I wonder if JJ is interested in bringing him in as a HC or DC. If the DC role once again JJ is doing it wrong. Let your HC form the staff.

I'm a local NJ guy who was hostage to local NY sports talk radio...specifically Jets radio...

There's NO WAY this is serious. This has Rooney Rule written all over it. Deion too...as much as I want it to be true...Deion is not under serious consideration by Jed.
Do people in Jersey claim the Jets more than those in NYC? I'm just curious if there's a geographical divide between the two fanbases.

I'm shocked that many of you aren't happy that we're talking with him.

The man's a legitimate coach from outside the Jerry circle. Compared to the slop that's been circulated (Jason Witten, looking at you), Saleh is prime Tom Landry. On top of that, he's not some soft quiet weird-looking small guy (ahem, Kellen Moore), but a real leader of men.

I get that his record with NY wasn't great, but his defense has always been fantastic and he had very real mitigating circumstances (really bad QB and really bad ownership together make a really bad team. And say what you want about Dak, but he's not nearly as bad as that dude they drafted in the first round. I literally don't remember his name and that was like three years ago.)

Even if we don't hire him, it's still extremely encouraging that we're taking a looksee.
A leader of men? Dude got punked out by Aaron Rodgers. On the sideline in front of the world. The guy is a failed Head Coach. He should have to work his way back up the ladder.

Oddly enough the Jets claim more of the Long Island area (used to be headquartered in Hempstead).

NJ is probably more like 40% Giants, 40% Jets and 20% stupid Birds

As I said, a leader of men.

Rodgers is the punk

A Jets expert, are you?

I follow them a bit. Not sure I would agree with this take.
Then you don’t follow them and you have no idea what you’re talking about.
He was fired by Aaron Rodgers - after Rogers mocked him on the field.

Most NY/NJers are Giants fans. The Jets are the Houston Texans as it relates to the Cowboys.

Most of the Jets fans are from Long Island and Queens in my observation. Some Staten Island too.

As DC yes, but not as HC. I just wrote a post on the draft zone, think Moore HC, Nuss (OC) and either Zimmer or Harris as the DC. I also think we will hire Witten on the staff as well. Don't think they want to start over. I would, but all indications that is where we are headed.
I really hate to like this post, but it really does seem the most plausible.

Of the options available Saleh is my second favorite. The hope is they can get Aaron Glenn but that’s unlikely.

Want nothing to do with Kellen, Carroll, Pedersen etc.

Deion would be the most entertaining at which point you stop caring about wins/losses.

Gruden also would be entertaining.

Deion is the lets just have fun and see what happens the next 2 years coach.

Lets go:
Deion Sanders HC
Wes Phillips as OC
Tony Romo as QB coach (this I doubt but would be fun)
Jason Witten as Assistant Coach
Robert Saleh as DC
Bones as ST

We can sit back and watch the reality show begin with no expectations of anything. After 2 years we will be a completely different team, for better or worse.

Aaron Rodgers.

Got it.

Guy who stole $112 million and did nothing other than take an already terrible franchise straight down into the septic tank.

Look no further than the game in December against the Bills.

Honestly, a criticism from Rodgers this season might as well be viewed as praise for all it’s worth.

For crying out loud, he blew off a mandatory camp to go on vacation to Egypt and he cried all … year .. long…

A team honestly couldn’t have done worse than to have Aaron Rodgers as their on field locker room leader.

He was great in Green Bay, but he was a straight up horseman of the apocalypse in New York.

Badge of honor imo. Rodgers was a straight up grifting thief of money and culture in NY.

All jokes aside, I'd take Salah over Moore, Witten, Sanders, and some of the other names that have been floated.
I’d take him over the others, but not Sanders. Sanders is the second best coach we can get.

Chucky would at least make the after losses press conferences fun to watch.
