RB is no different from an other position. There are good players up and down the draft, they simply become much more difficult to find the later in the draft you get. It's almost impossible to find a starter at any position after the 3rd round, so if you need a starter at any position you better get one before the 4th.Yeah when I looked last year, the sweet spot was picks 25-45 for a RB. I believe at the end of last year the top 8 backs were all 1st or 2nd rounders.
that doesn't mean every guy you pick in late rounds are gonna workout just because some did..its like thinking you can find a brady or purdy in late rounds. Its rare, rather take a top 5 rated BIG powerful RB inthe drfat watch how they fall off theobards andmake sure you get your TOP GUY..IDC if that the 2nd round we need to get that guy and not wait. The guy who destroyed us Wild Card Weekend was a 5th rounder.
no that's just a bad choice of words.... literally they have all the money they have from Zeke and any and all running back falling off their cap and starting fresh at 0 can build and entirely new RB room if they wanted too.. id go high drfat pick and mid level guy get rid of enryklone but DV..DV can be a great change of pace scat back like pollard was the first two years...so we need a power back in the draft maybe mid level vet onmthe cheap to replace rico etcthis doesnt make sense, resetting is going up not down lol
I dont think dallas is going to give any RB top pay + which is resetting , unless they get henry or something.
The only way pollard stays is if he signs for 5 mil or less.
You can get Pollard type where we found him...in the 4th-7th rounds. That's your 2nd RB, the Pollard type.
You can have the big play type or you can have the grinder type. To get both in one player costs a ton. Use your receivers and complementery back for the big plays. Use the pounder when it's 3rd and 2.
I agreeYou can get Pollard type where we found him...in the 4th-7th rounds.
2nd round is the best for drafting a 3 down RB...imo. Very late 1st at the earliest but usually 3rd or 4th at the latest.
Henry was drafted in the sweet spot, for example. Barkley? way to early
Unless it's a special talent such as Bijan or Gibbs. You can get Pollard type where we found him...in the 4th-7th rounds.

Rams got lucky with Kyren Williams. what a home run
Pacheco was a huge steal too.
The sad thing is Duece was probably a better pick than Mazi and Schoonmaker combined. What a turd of a draft the Cowboys had last year. And that 4th they threw away for another bust in Trey Lance was the icing on the cake. Our fake GM has no clue how to plan or manage a team. Last year we released Zeke and franchised Pollard coming off a broken leg. We basically knew it would be Pollard's last season. Yet we waited til the 6th round to take a back, and then it was diminutive Deuce and a nod to his dad.
Now we are left with no primary back and only three picks before the very bottom of round 5. Or looking at a bargain basement FA who will be in his 5th or 6th season.
