A cowboys career is not predicated on what Hershel did in an inferior football league,.. it's predicated on what he did in the NFL, vs NFL All pro, pro bowlers and hall of famers.

And did i not include "Cowboys "All time list ? ... not the USFL's all time list . ?

Well who said it was Cowboys career? IF it was, then its definitely a different conversation. But if we are talking about the best RB to play for the Cowboys then its Walker after Smith. One could even argue that Walker is the best RB to ever play for the Cowboys.

I like Zeke, but I agree.....Imagine what Walker could have done with Larry Allen, Eric William's etc.....he was one of the best backs of all time.....just never had the right situation

And they would have to work that much harder for Hershel .. because with all his world class straight line speed, ..his run instincts and vision was very questionable.

Im not sure how say even something like that. Never heard anyone claim that.

All the line has to do is hold their guy for half a second and Walker was gone.

Err, it's a Cowboys List .. that's the discussion point.
... it wasn't an USFL list. ... nor a Georgia Bull Dog/Heisman List. ..

Yes, You answered your own question ... it is a different discussion,

I think i'll let you handle your own argument over Hershel being the Best Cowboys RB ever ... lol

And if there was a stalemate and Walker couldn;'t see or feel an opening anywhere else, he's hesitating, stopping in his tracks and getting pop behind the line.
He was too str8 line,

I think
1) our favorites and
2) who is best
are two lists.

One of my favorites LBs was Robert Jones, but even though he led the team in tackles in a Super Bowl year he wasn't the top all-time LB

Also, I liked Romo better than all QBs except maybe Roger, but I would not put him 2nd best

Bro you specifically said favorite/best top 5 list.

Walker played for the Cowboys for 3 years and had great years here. He was without a doubt the most talented running back to ever put on a Cowboys uniform. You having him down on your list is an insult to the guy. Walker was one of my favorites.

If # of years playing for the team is a condition then say it. If total yards is a condition then say it. But if you make those kinds of conditions, then the lists make themselves.

You wanted debate, now you have it.

..and that's why i wouldn't and didn't place Romo as .. " 2nd best " ... Aikman is the 2nd best on my list,

Working hard is a given....unless you are lazy and like to cut corners.

Thats like saying Emmitt was too slow. Walker was a monster and as well rounded as you could get.

- Physically per size/speed ratio .. Hershel walker was the most physically equipped RB we've ever had.

But when it comes to talent, ..it's more than physical measurements.
It's how you can create ..and anyone that closely observed Walker, he just wasn't the most instinctive back.

Just running up the back of your OL isn't a showcase of talent.
Emmitt Smith wasn't the biggest and especially not the fastest ..but his gift came in how he
was able to find creases and seams and creative running even it seems gaps were bogged up, run skills are a mixture of vision, patience, balance, eluding with
both your feet and body control, .. when you have a creative back like that your OL doesn't have to hold as long - vs a back that has trouble locating creases and holes at the line.

You care to name a slot WR that we've had better than Cole Beasley ..??

yes,.. the Jedi over Danny White...
Johnson, Crayton and Martin were better.
They didn't play in a league where as many balls were thrown as Beasley did.
Beasley was serviceable here but not the best nor did he make the greatest impact.

Yes, I have Danny White over Romo. White led the Cowboys to three straight NFC Championship Games.
He is underrated in my book.

That was the style of play back then....the game evolved.....you don't know much football, apparently.
