TRADED Cowboys trade for CB Kaiir Elam from the Bills

Bryan Broaddus is beating up the front office about what we did today. It's weird. No matter what we do it's wrong. I disagree with him totally. These moves were very low risk high reward type deals. We got 2 starters I think. Not trash.
Bryan Broaddus should beat himself up.

He's informed, but comes across as unintelligent. Favorite BB lines:
  1. "I tell you what!"
  2. "Really, really!"
  3. "You're not wrong."

We haven't seen this much action , nor has Jerry since he got him some gl#ry h#le. Busy free agency so far, this is technically day 1. Let's admit it, this was better than expected. Nothing sexy, but better. Let's see what we do tomorrow. We aren't done.

Him and Cavanaugh are useless at times. I try to watch them but can't very long. The negative vibes and smugness shows thru. I like what we have done. I'm perplexed as to why they don't, unless they have an agenda.

To be clear, I would gladly go hard after the Jones boys when they don't do their damn Jobs. But this is one time they deserve some love for the effort
Seems like they are listening to Shotty and getting his guys. What more can we want? Be patient guys. Don't listen to all the content creator cowboy experts lol. Let it play out.

Btw what happened to iasha Morrison on the draft show? She on vacation? I mean, I don't watch much but this time of year I take a peek. She's gone it seems.

I liked her as well. She was on the show a few weeks ago. I believe she plans to come back (to the show) soon.

He's right. These guys are either busts or washed up.

Rated the 42nd best CB in 2024 per PFF...
Yeah, I think he should be fine as Lewis' replacement. The fact that he plays on the outside doesn't mean we signed him to be one of the starting two. It probably means we'll move Bland inside in the nickel. But it also means that if Diggs starts out on PUP, we have an outside corner who can fill in. May not be as good, but third corners generally aren't as good as the starters.

What has this front office done to get the benefit of the doubt?
Fair. Nothing before today. But things can change in this league. I don't think the Jones clown's are picking these players. I think McClay and the coaches are doing it. They know what they want . I'm cautiously optimistic...and praying we land a bigger fish.

He's just too stupid to effectively play cornerback. He's big, fast and has the physical gifts necessary but he lacks awareness at every key moment and constantly commits the stupidest penalties. I don't know what to say about Elam when other cornerbacks who had a way lower draft-prospect and have less athletic abilities play better than him.

Yep i am pretty sure this is the guy Romo singled out during one of their playoff games..
It was...

Sure, he had the unwitting announcer’s jinx of Christian Benford when he casually mentioned that Benford had been in concussion protocol earlier in the week — just two plays before Benford was knocked out of the game for good. His replacement? Kaiir Elam, a name Romo, highlighted and critiqued every chance he could.

Romo wasn’t picking on Elam for no reason — that was the Chiefs’ job. But Romo didn’t hesitate to point out every misstep, blown coverage or missed tackle, making it clear that Elam was a glaring weak link in the Bills’ defense — one that Mahomes and CO. exploited repeatedly.

I hope this means we are running more man coverage,Bills got rid of him because he sucked in zone and if we are planning to run mostly zone then we are idiots since most of our corners play man coverage the best.

Eberflus generally uses a lot of Cover 2, but someone said he mentioned using more man here. I have not seen such a quote, though.
