Some people are happier being miserable if that makes sense. Don't sweat it - nothing wrong with optimism in sports and cheering for your team. Others take a different tack and view sports as a chance to prove they could be a professional GM or coach from the couch.

Your fixation on anything but "happy thoughts" and your attack of posters as some self-appointed thought police is really silly. This is adult talk. If you can't handle adult scenarios--which don't always involve unicorns and rainbows...maybe this isn't a good place for you.

Lay off and grow up. I didn't attack anyone I was encouraging a frustrated brother poster.

Adults get along not jump into a discussion ill informed.

And FYI it's just dumb and dishonest to put words in quotes when I never said those words.

Maybe if you bothered to think about who YOU are attacking you'd realize I am none of the things you are ranting about. But that would require forethought.

For the record, I don't have a problem with the trade per se...that is... If we are debating this trade versus doing nothing.

But I would have preferred we'd done more...even at the expense of say a 4th round pick. I am most interested in a big, reliable, veteran back who has a good mind and ample experience reading and picking up blitzers.

Watching his carries against the Chargers right now because it is the only game I have available.

He was alternating with Turbin a good bit.

Just has some balance issues and you can just see him lacking patience at times. Had a really nice run in the 3rd Q where he got knocked out at the two where he dove for the pylon way too early. His next carry was just awful because he thought he could stop on a dime and run around a penetrating lineman.

As a pass protector, he got shocked pretty good by Denzel Perryman on a blitz, mainly because he did not set his feet.

You used a perjorative blanket term to refer to "bashers." Then you doubled down on that nonsense by trying to play psychologist and suggest an unflattering motive for anyone who wasn't as sunny as you. Really, really uncool stuff, dude. Really sad to see you try to strut with that.

As a point of reference, last season, DeMarco Murray averaged 1 fumble for every 75 touches, and people thought he was a fumbling machine.

Because he had 3-4 that were stripped as he went out of bounds that do not count. Not all fumbles are equal either, if a guy fumbles because some planted a helmet on the ball not as bad asa guy that gets stripped from behind because he is carrying it like a loaf of bread.

7th Round Conditional
He's a Stud
He's Overrated
He's a Power Back
Doesn't run with power
He's Fast
He's Slow
Good Open Field Moves
Straight-line Runner
Can Block
Can't Block
Great hands
Terrible Hands

The one thing everyone agrees on is that he's grew up a Cowboy fan...[/quote]

Again I don't think you know what quotes mean. Talk about doubling down lol

Grammar 101 - quotes are used to state something that someone said verbatim (look up verbatim)

And I'm not always sunny you are pulling stuff out of nowhere. Just don't see the need to freak out about giving up practically nothing for a guy with upside. Also I'm smart enough to realize I don't know everything the paid professional insiders know so I don't pretend I do. If the self proclaimed geniuses here did Romo would be gone, Beasley cut, Garrett fired, and RGIII or Manziel behind center. Among a myriad of other genius moves.

Not a big fan of this move, but I will wait and see what happens, how he does and how he is used.
He is now a Cowboy, so will root for him to do very well.
Not going to be upset, nor over joyed.
Just go and help us win.

Could be 4 week tryout until Ro and Hardy come back.

who do you have in mind?

I don't have time to follow other teams anything but superficially. But the recurring theme around the league is that running backs are abundant.

Quite possibly...Fred Jackson would have been a better...and cheaper choice. He's solid. Not his first rodeo. Most importantly: good pass protector and good receiver. And the price would have been....nothing! Jackson wouldn't be a bell cow at all. But could be good in a rotation.

I think that he is exactly what the running back group needs, a physical running back, who without question, will pick up dirty yards when we need them. I also think that Dallas got him for a low cost to future drafting, so that's good too. The only thing I see that might be an issue, is that he seems to have a personality similar to Martellus Bennett. I cautious for that reason alone. However, given that we need a sledgehammer at RB, and as long as the coaches focus on him meeting expectations, this might be a great move. I think Dallas made a wise choice, given the missing skillset we needed to pick up.

Love the move. Talented player at a low cost. I wish we could've done this earlier, but it would've been too costly.

Contrary to what so many on here think, I don't believe he was brought here to be the man. I think he will have a role on STs and short yardage. He will be competing for a starting job....but it may not be realistic until next season.

I don't think this is any indication of how we feel about the RBs already on the roster. He is merely a talented player in a position that is going to be heavily utilized. Insurance...short yardage...competition.

I see this as Ro McClain v2.0. All the physical talent in the world, but has never put it together between his ears. Like Ro, Jerry is taking a low cost flier to see if we can get him to do so here.

I have zero problem with the trade - in fact I am happy with it, like Ro the upside is stellar- but Seattle didn't just jettison this guy for nothing because they wanted to help us out. To ignore the fact that he obviously has issues, be they effort or just plain mental, is silly. Besides reports of shoddy pass protection and missing assignments, he put the ball on the ground in the last two pre-seasons 3 times in 62 touches. That's red flag worthy, even if it is pre-season.

Not that we're not used to that...

Love this move! Couldn't be more excited! This kid has shown something in every opportunity that he has had. He couldn' t breakthrough in Seattle with Lynch there, but he'll get touches here. He may win the starting job.

It's a meh move. It doesn't move the needle. It's just another guy we can throw in the mix. It's hardly worth getting excited or upset about. I don't view the RB core any better today than yesterday. Just one guy deeper.

Sorry u cant get excited with your teams FO moves. Sucks being you. I think its a great low risk, high reward move and im ECSTATIC! GO COWBOYS!!!
