That would be a bonus. Create competition at qb. Dak would have to win his job back. If not, he may request a trade.

They gave up 46 draft spots in late Saturday picks. He is much cheaper than Rush and Lance and actually has some potential upside. There is nothing to dislike about it. And I haven't heard JJ saying anything about this move upgrading the QB corp.
 
Amazed Jerry did this trade. I mean, he got a young qb, which costs him little money, who has arm strength, running ability and hasn't had a major injury.

Maybe Schottenheimer's having some influence over personnel?

If you believe that a GM giving up a Qb for a 4th round pick and potential starter is the same as a GM getting one for nothing as a camp body is the same, I can't explain it to you.

Trey Lance will end up in the CFL where he has always belonged

You could take Milton, Rush and Lance, put em in a bag, shake it up and see which falls out first. None of the above makes one bit of difference to the overall outcome of this team reaching a SB. Why does anyone listen to anything JJ says? Every roster move that’s made should be geared towards upgrading the roster at every position. Unfortunately for our team, the GM has blatantly overlooked the most important position on the field since Aikman retired. Insanity and incompetence defines our FO. Sure….lets all get excited about Joe. Anything to sell more tickets and merchandise. That’s what defines the Dallas Cowboys.

But the difference is that one of them has already proven that he's an abject failure. The niners traded away three 1st rd draft picks and Bonzo here gave away a 4th for Lance as well to further the experiment.

Teams that desperately needed a starting Qb like the Steelers, Jets,Giants, Raiders and Seahawks rejected Trey Lance as starting material and that sealed his fate. He'll now rot behind Herbert and Heinicke as 3rd on their depth chart.

Conversely Joe Milton is a relatively unknown commodity at a much lower cost.....he may great, good, or suck but it's yet to be determined.

I mean... a quick Google confirms your fact... but facts aren't sworn or theorized or debated over. They simply exist regardless what we say about them or feel about them.

Another fact: if Jerry doesn't start doing something differently than he's done this entire century, they're likely to pass us like a bum on the street
