What I’m saying is their intent was the same as yours your can argue how good of a trade Dotson was but at the end of the day they wanted to improve their unit and traded for him. They were high on Mingo and traded for him. No one is trading a 23 year old DE or DT or a S on a rookie deal to the Cowboys. The move makes sense the compensation is a reach just like trading a 3rd for Dotson.

We got Dotson and a 5 for a 3. They effectively cost the same amount, especially when you factor in where your 4th will land. We got the 16th overall pick who had 11 tds in 2 years. You got the worst receiver on the worst team. Jahan is an every down player; Mingo may be regularly inactive in December once you see how bad his route running is. These trades are not comparable. You’re only trying to because it’s an eagle and a cowboy.

Nobody is cutting Jahan Dotson. We paid a 3 because we outbid other teams. Do you believe Jerry was in a bidding war for Jonathan Mingo?
