Nick Eatman on Cowboys Break just said that Seattle Seahawks called the cowboys last night to see if they wanted to trade to get their pick #32 in the first.

That was why Stephen left the PC.

Guess they did not want to give what the seahawks were asking for so they traded with the Vikings to get Bridgewater.

Yep. Heard that was well.

I think the other big point they discussed so far, is how do the boys look at Crawford. Do they prefer him at DT or DE. That could have a big influence on whether we go DT/DE.

Crawford does not know yet per them talking in other shows. I don't think the coaches know yet. I think they want to wait until they see what they get in the draft and move him to where they need him the most after that.

Lawrence is probably the last remaining starting-caliber weakside edge rusher in the draft, and the Falcons are after him, too. If the team wants to avoid a gaping hole at WDE, they're going to have to burn a fourth and jump Atlanta. It's that simple. That said, arguably the best 1-technique in the draft wouldn't be a horrible consolation prize.

Crichton, too, is available. And ATL might also take the TE to replace Gonzales, as there are a couple good players there still, too.

I think they view him (Crichton) as a strong side DE at least that is what broaddus and gang has been talking about the last week or so.

I just don't like Lawrence very much at all. I would rather have Attoachu, Jeffcoat, Crichton, Tuitt at defensive end. That's not even mentioning the DT's that are left, Nix, Sutton....
I know the boys are high on Lawrence, but I hope it doesn't work out for them.

No, there are more then just Lawrence. To be honest, Lawrence, from what I've watched of him, is really not that great of an edge rusher. Attaochu is the guy, IMO, who is the best WDE prospect for our scheme, who is still left on the board. He can bend the corner, he can bull rush and he is strong at the point of attack with a lot of upside. He is relentless and has the kind of motor that will allow him to be a factor in the 4th quarter. He is nasty as well. In fact, he will probably have to be taught to control that temper a bit because he does not like to be tested. 33 inch length arms with excellent burst off the line. His 40 time is 4.6 compared to Khali's 4.59. His 10 yard split is 1.55 compared to Khali's 1.64. His 20 yard split is 2.65 which is exactly what Khali ran as well.

This is the guy I want us to take in the 2nd round.

I like him as well. If you look at visits though, they brought in Jernigan, Ealy, Lawrence, Crichton, Martin and Sutton.

Probably would have cost Dallas their 3rd in the Seattle deal, so they made the right move, which was to make no move

Problem is none of those guys can play WDE IMO. I think the boys believe Lawrence can, which is a scary proposition to me.

I say stay put if at all possible. However, if you have to burn a 5th to move up for someone like Jerrigan (even if it's only 4/5 spots), you do it.

Let the draft come to you. No need to force anything. We aren't one or two players away from anything. Relax, take a big breath, and stay put unless someone offers us a great deal. This is a deep draft.
