Cowboys trying to trade up to 32

Seriously, I cannot figure out how anyone can even be thinking about trading up two slots when there are so many good defensive players available at CB, DT, and DE along with good offensive players.

Just sit back and let the draft come to you. Stay true to BPA.

If the price to do it is a 6th round pick and you get the guy for sure you want, why not?

6th round picks are essentially garbage. The hit rate of even finding a depth player in the 6th is low.

I guess I don't understand the Billings stuff, as it seems like with Crawford and Thornton, we are better set at DT than we are at DE. Especially since it seems like the value/BPA would be higher with Spence or Dodd.

Yes they hinted Crawford will move to DE while they are suspended . And ! Awesome depth never hurt anyone. At this point you can't depend on Gregory or Lawrence both are a mistake away from a 10 game suspension .

We do nada w/those picks (6ths and even the late comp 4) We save that scouting talent for UDFAs Totally illogical, but used as justification around here quite a bit. I agree with ya, until we know what to do later in the draft, get the players you covet by being proactive early.

Jack is a non factor. Rumors are the Cowboys flagged his medical record and have concerns over deterioration eventually of the knee and Stephen Jones just said LB isn't a high priority for them right now.

Floyd was apparently drafted for his pass rushing skills. He's likely not coming off the field in nickel situations like a true SAM LB would.
