Why are we trying so hard to give away picks? Barf.

I know it's probably for Ogbah.. Would the teams in front of us take him?

more likely someone else will move into Cleveland's spot to take whoever it is they feel they need if this is true.

I don't think 9 players are going to make this roster in anyway shape or form but if its anything more than a 6 to move up that is foolish.

Wait until we find out we traded 34 and 101 for Connor Cook.

The strength of this draft is the 2nd through 4th round, so of course it makes sense to have less of those picks.

I'm convinced that Jones views the draft as a publicity opportunity rather than a valuable tool to build your roster and contend for championships.

Everyone remember 2014 when they traded up in the 2nd to grab Lawrence?

How did that work out? (Other than the ridiculous prescription med suspension this year)

Of course 9 draft picks aren't going to make the team. But you don't know which of the 9 won't pan out. The more guys you pick, the better your odds that some of them will work out (adjusting for round, of course).

The Browns want more picks too.

This would be wasteful but it's what these guys do. You're 2 picks away for crying out loud.

Only way this makes sense is if they're targeting one guy. If, say, Dodd and Spence are close on their board, might as well wait. Not sure why they feel the need to get to 32 and didn't to 31, or 30, or 29. Maybe they view Tennessee as a serious threat to snatching their guy. Hopefully it's all a smokescreen though. Apparently they loved Lynch, but not enough to offer more in a trade up. So if they maintained their composure in that situation, hopefully they'll maintain it here too.

Boy you'd think some team would be trying to trade with the Browns to get Cook. Please don't trade anything more than a 6th. Unless this guy is the next Haley keep your 4th Jerry!

That might be exactly what we're doing.

right but to move up here shouldn't cost us more than a 6...or if it does shame on them.

If all we are trading is a 6th round pick or so for it, no biggie.

But if it's the 101st pick, then Jerry just Jerry'd us.

who would we target that we are sure wont be there when Browns are Tennessee pick?

Who would we want that we are sure won't be swooped in by someone else trading with Cleveland or Tennessee, should be the question.
