If the thought of missing a particular player turns your stomach, then you're in the wrong business.
Or you don't grasp the gravity of losing a player you know will be a stud.

I imagine it's pick 101 which would be the first pick in the 4th.
Like Jerry once said...if the thought of missing the player turns your stomach...you gotta go get him.
That's exactly what I mean by overrating their drafting abilities. The more eggs you put into fewer baskets that you just know are the right baskets, the more likely you end up starving. What it would indicate to me is that we really value one guy above the rest and don't want to take the chance on him being gone.
Yes....a guy with 3 trophies.

We may have to throw in something else, but I agree the idea is to have two 2nd-round picks, not to give up a high 2 for a low 1.I'd do Leary and our 4th rounder for 32 and we still get to keep our 34th in a second.................
I'm guessing they have Dodd as their "Last of the Mohicans". A term they used for Frederick and Lawrence. Must get him. Can not risk the two picks until they're on the clock. Must overpay too.
The thing is, I really, really like Dodd. But no.
That's exactly the point. You don't "know" he'll be a stud. When you get in that mode of "knowing", you're massively overrating your drafting ability. Smart teams know that they don't really know all that much, and act accordingly.Or you don't grasp the gravity of losing a player you know will be a stud.
The Browns want more picks too.
This would be wasteful but it's what these guys do. You're 2 picks away for crying out loud.
