Agree...he struggles at times but isn't half as bad as most of the dolts on this board make him out to be. Risen is especially ridiculous in his criticism. The guy is a 4th round pick for crissakes. No one ever claimed he's Elway or Aikman.
Dak is pretty cool under pressure:
Once he gets a new OC and QB coach, look out.
Interesting thread on Dakuracy:
It sounds like your "eye test" as you call it is more agenda driven than factual.Oh, here we go with stats and facts interfering with emotion and “alternative facts” again.
“The eye test” was maybe the best one I heard all season.
Definitely true about Goff. I was watching the Chargers/Pats and marveled at how clean the pocket was for Brady.
The eye test was the best of the alternative facts. And yes. It’s agenda driven by those that oppose facts. It sounds like your "eye test" as you call it is agenda driven instead of factual.
Romo made some pretty insightful commentary on their offense. He said they have really smart players and a big play big and cycle through the playbook depending on the game plan. A lot of the plays that were working weren't new but they hadn't showed them in games lately so there wasn't recent film on them. It was fun to watch the Pats play the Titans. You could really tell that Vrabel was dialed in to the offense because nothing they tried work. Also marvel at the timing of the offense. That's the key to all of it. While the rest of the league is dropping back and trying to hold on long enough to go 20 yards down the field, the Patriots are getting the ball out in seconds, before your pass rush has the chance to impact the throw.
It was on 'night and day' display during that game, as Brady and the Patriots killed the Chargers with a thousand papercuts and Philip Rivers was bruised and battered trying to bomb passes downfield all game long.
Timing is why Brady has stayed do healthy for virtually his entire career while younger guys like Romo come and go. It is why the Patriots can be the "anti Cowboys" and invest much less and still have a capable line year after year. And why they can let the Giants grossly overpay for Nate Solder and replace him with Trent Brown for an exchange of draft picks. And still go to the AFC Championship game and Super Bowl year after year.
It amazes me that the rest of the league isn't copying their formula for the timing of the passing game after all this time.
Romo would be the perfect choice..but would he leave the booth..
Fans don’t care. It doesn’t support the narrative.
